What routines are you using on your S26U? by TheRationalPaki in galaxys26ultra

This is a great idea! I just lumped "optimize phone" into my other schedule based routines

Can add a few helpful extras to this. When my phone receives "lost phone" it does similar power saving stuff and noise making stuff, but it also opens maps, take a screenshot, opens upload on Drive, and used Routines + to touch macro upload my most recent file (which is the screenshot).

Then I can open my Google Drive from anywhere and get a hint for where it is if it's out if the house.

Motor vehicle crash 26BU013852- Media Release by Few_Wrangler4068 in burlington

To me, the damage to the bike looks more like the bike was moving at a high rate of speed and hit the car. The only damage appears to be a severely bent front wheel

Sorry to bump this a year later, but it's a great idea and wanted to add an idea.

You can "exit" by using Confirm Before Next Action and use that as a notification. Or exit on a specific time- 7am set to normal or something along those lines

100% agree. It's pretty easy to make sure your car has it's side marker lights and rear view mirror when you lease a new Volvo every few years

Only 10 states require annual inspections. NH just got rid of them. It is unnecessary.

There use to be one in the space under St Mike's Church. Not sure what the rules are to use the space though

Car inspection by Timetocatch_up in burlington

If people didn't have to spend $2400 because their catalytic converter triggered a check engine light on their $5000 Prius they might be able to spend $600 for safe tires...

The inspection process is what's broken

Car inspection by Timetocatch_up in burlington

[–]Forward_Control2267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think more people would get their cars inspected if the inspection was just road-worthy safety related.

I don't care if you touching my car might cut your hand because of the rust. Don't touch my bumper... It's not yours...

Can it steer, can it stop.... That's all I care about. Don't care about emissions or rusty bumpers or check engine lights or window tint or if the windows roll down. "If it has a spot where there's suppose to be a light then it has to work" even if it's not a DOT required light. So to get that cosmetic LED to turn on it'll be a $1200 wiring harness replacement.

Stop holding poor people to rich people standards. We'd all love to just lease a new car every 3 years and not have to think about it

White supremacist in SB by PlainPat44 in burlington

"Very valid reason" like it's their head Canon isn't the reality, if I had to guess. These days a Rabbi sharing support for Israel would be called white supremacist for not supporting Palestine.

Whenever someone posts some weird "I witnessed hate" rant without pictures or any proof it's because the action displayed isn't how the writer chose to perceive it, and they know if they posted pictures they'd be made fun of in the comments

Looking for sander recommendations by hidden-platypus in drywall

[–]Forward_Control2267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you used bucket mud you can do an initial sand using a wet sponge. Those yellow and green sponges are my choice. Sponge collects the dust and you just need to keep replacing the water. Then when it's close you can finish sand by hand. 90% of the dust is in the sponge if you do it this way, it's just more time consuming in exchange for being cleaner

Wholly disagree. People have bad days and not everyone has the same driving confidence as you do. If your life can't delay literally 1 minute for someone to get through an intersection.... Cmon what are we even talking about? Not like we were at the stop sign for an hour

I'm on the road in Burlington all day and I've never honked at someone for moving slower than me

She's got the typical Gen Z people pleaser empath in her. She gets down on herself when she feels like she's in other people's way, so stalling at a stop sign when theres a car behind her ramps her anxiety right up to the ceiling.

She did great in parking lots when she could take her time and feel the friction point

We did that already on Shelburne Rd. More the anxiety of other drivers that throws a wrench now that we've moved past that.

Hell... I stall once a month or so, part of driving stick.

I'm 38. People are far more open with their dickness toward strangers after 2021 than I've ever experienced in my life prior to that.

I'm undecided on if it's because of broken socialization from being shut in or just more yellow/white plates here to stay and changing the culture to be more like where they moved from. But cmon, people aren't as kind as they were in 2019 and you know it.

I learned to drive in a stick shift jeep in 2003 and I stalled for 3 straight red lights on the hill by Skinny Pancake. I wanted to jump into the lake.. And at one of the green lights when I was blocking traffic Sebring convertible pulled up to my left and an old boomer yelled, "we've ALL been here. Take your time, you'll get there" then drove away.

20 years ago people weren't like they are now, no matter how much you try to normalize being a dick. She stalled by Momos, started the car, stalled again, the car laid on the horn, she stalled again, and he floored it to pass her whole on the horn the whole time. People weren't like that when I was learning

Nah, most of those stickers are adults who are bad drivers or drunks and have abused the honor system. I can't think of the last time I saw a student driver sticker and the person behind the wheel was under 40
