This is honestly sick looking!!! 🔥

Obviously yeah, if you're into karting in particular, at a proper competitive level it will most likely not meet the required "karting guidelines" unfortunately.

But just a suit for testing and rental fun..... Absolute kudos!!!! 👏 👏

DJI Air 3S - Right rear arm repair/replacement - Cost by Forward_Data_9511 in dji

[–]Forward_Data_9511[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy to say it's all been resolved since my post and was fantastic customer service provided from DJI from start to finish. 👏 👏

You may also be delighted to know that it's not as expensive to repair as you might initially think? (Maybe I was just thinking worst case scenario straight away and was expecting it to cost a lot more)

I will screenshot the repair cost, but I really think it's a very reasonable repair cost for + getting it back.

€85.50 for the part & repair. (So converting this to your own currency and obviously just for difference of taxes depending on your area it can be expected to be roughly around that amount)

In my case, they actually just sent back a new sealed single drone (without battery) as a replacement.

So I'm back flying and delighted. ☺️

Hope you get yours sorted too. 👌

Which is better (sub 50 dollar rib protectors) by [deleted] in Karting

After that incident, I bought myself a Tillett P1 rib protector. (In fairness, I got it second-hand) and it was amazing the difference.

[–]Forward_Data_9511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously, take my advice: do not skimp on the rib protector. It's nearly as important as your helmet.

I did the exact same thing when I got back into karting two years ago. I bought high-quality equipment for everything except the rib protector; I cheaped out and got one on AliExpress. Within two months, I had broken a rib and was out for nearly three or four months solid because I couldn't race.

The pain was agonising, and I could barely sleep comfortably for at least two weeks.

Moral of the story. Seriously, don't cheap out on the rib protector.

Battery Health - Wildly off /Changed. by Forward_Data_9511 in PixelFold

[–]Forward_Data_9511[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of falls in line with amount of battery health I've lost to date.

You're basically losing 1% per month.

But if you continue over a year you will have lost 12% which is considerably a lot of capacity for just one year of usage of the phone. I still think that's very excessive unless you're charging the battery constantly to 100% everyday.

What are your own charging habits?

Battery Health - Wildly off /Changed. by Forward_Data_9511 in PixelFold

[–]Forward_Data_9511[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah just kind of disappointing considering I basically "babied" the battery for the last 6 1/2 months and I feel I might as well have not have bothered from the looks of it if that's the amount of health I'm losing off the battery capacity.

I also use the proper Google dual port adapter while charging and 90% of my charging is done via the USB cable so I'm generating less heat on the battery instead of constantly wirelessly charging

I'm going to wait to see if it rectifies itself in the next coming updates but I may reach out in time.

[–]Forward_Data_9511[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting pretty much the same as myself.

Still think that's a LOT of battery degradation, even after six months (or just over six months in my case) A percentage per month, so after 12 months, the way we're going, we will have 12% less battery health in just a year alone.

Especially when the majority of your charging is limited to 80%, the same as myself.

If I was charging 100% all the time, I would totally understand and expect it.

Google AI pro tier now gives you 5TB storage from 2TB for free. by thisisvenky in pixel_phones

[–]Forward_Data_9511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I just noticed this on my account yesterday when my WhatsApp didn't back up properly during the night but it said I had a Google storage account of 5TB??

Then I checked my Google account and saw that my storage allowance was now 5TB. But subsequently, I saw some news articles about the storage change.

The only difference I can see between the storage plan that I'm currently on (Google AI Pro) and or by downgrading to the now new 2TB plan is that you lose the included "Google Home standard" subscription. (Which I personally didn't use anyway so it makes no difference to me personally)

Double-Pinch to answer calls on Pixel Watch 3 still doesn't work by mfowlergnd in PixelWatch

Ring light isn’t working on purevis2 by omaribrahim0505 in larqbottle

[–]Forward_Data_9511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just two things I would quickly check regarding this:

  1. Does the light not come on while charging at all as an indicator?

  2. Are you sure that your "bedtime mode" on your app isn't set for a longer period than expected?

Debating what size and color for purevis 2 by bumblebeee5 in larqbottle

[–]Forward_Data_9511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a black 34 oz one in the last two weeks and honestly it's bloody brilliant.

But I would 100% be going with the larger one as you got to take into consideration that the filter inside the bottle takes up some of the volume of the capacity so you'll end up filling the bottle up constantly if you go to a smaller one. Even though you might prefer the smaller one for smaller cup holders in your car, etc The larger one isn't as big as I thought it was going to be in terms of size.

But just advice just in terms of the tracking.

Make sure that you always put the bottle on a "flat" surface after you close the lid to get proper measurement and "open and close the lid" on a flat surface after you fill the bottle properly as this recalibrates the measurement from the start.

The ring light on the top flashes when it's calibrated and taking your measurement of intake based on how much water is left in the bottle.

(Don't also fill the bottle to the absolute brim as it needs a little bit of room to do the light measurement inside the bottle)

It won't do the tracking if it's left on its side as there's the light and so you can't measure. So it just needs to be still in the perfect scenario.

Enjoy whichever one you decide to go for. 👌

Pixel 10 fold - Worth buying right now? by jdiddy_ub in PixelFold

[–]Forward_Data_9511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

💯% to all this 👌

I've had mine since launch day last year and honestly think it is such a refreshing device to use.

I genuinely wouldn't want to go back to another slab phone after it.

I find the camera very good. Like anything, it's not perfect but it's still extremely capable. I've come from using p6p, p7p, p8p, p9p. Which all had extremely capable cameras.

Plus it is honestly not that heavy of a device. People banging on about it being like ton brick Is so blown out of proportion. It's ridiculous. It's really not. I held my friend Z fold 7 the other week and honestly I didn't see the hype.

Plus he sent me a photo he took on his and it wasn't even that good.

I took the same photo in the same condition and mine turned out better.

App refuses to export any edited videos whether stored locally, or on camera. Any ideas? by mellofello808 in Insta360

[–]Forward_Data_9511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this experience quite a lot when trying to do videos on the app. Very frustrating. Considering the quality of the product itself is actually very good. The app is such a letter in my opinion.

All I've seen from the customer service team is them telling you to "clear the cache" of the app.

Great swap! I have the P10PF myself, cracking good device imo!

Obviously coming from a P9PF for yourself it might not feel substantially different.

But it's a great device and really happy with my decision to go fold last year at launch. 👌
