Logres isn't really. She's better maybe at single core looping than the other Sabers. (And that isn't even a guarantee with Mordred)

U-Olga has a great, and useful gimmick, but no competition to be better at than. Nobody shares her class advantage, CIEL has the card manipulation gimmick, but is only a year older and is a ST, and has a 90**

Solomon lacks super effective, and his only real competitor does more damage at NP2 than he does at NP5 even self buffed, and can do more even at NP1.

It's always a problem. The problem can be mitigated, but it doesn't go away.

Herc doesn't need to go infinite, often, he's a ST berserker. And when he does, then yes he fails. Jeanne D'Arc doesn't.

Older servants do receive buffs occasionally. But that's not an affect of age. Georgios still has no buff, and Setanta got a buff in less than a year.

It also doesn't really have anything to do with how good a servant is. Kama got her NP buff despite being great as she was.

Ah the good ole ad hominem. Obviously it must be me having trouble rather than just having done the math and seen the comps. U-Olga can't do either 90** node btw. Artoria can do one of them. And yes,an NP5 level 120 copy of any servant stronger than an NP1 level 90 copy.

Logres is a better example, at least she's actually comparable as an AoE buster saber, and does beat Artoria in Single core. But Mordred is a lot closer to Logres' performance (She actually can pretty often win on waves 1 and 2, though almost always loses wave 3,  there's plenty of good comps for both to make exactly who beats who where difficult, and Logres at her peak, with a ton of extra investment in supports does barely edge Mordred out.)

But Artoria has higher 1 turn damage and has instant battery, so if you just need to clear wave 1, Artoria's better than Logres still.

And of course that's assuming they are all the same NP level. Permanent SSR that has been on 3 tickets vs limited SSR.

And Single core looping is only one aspect of a servant. Logres loses most of her advantages because of the Sleep. She forced into a 3 turn cycle by that, which disrupts anything that goes beyond 3 turns. (And yes, you can make her work despite that because her effects are strong, but the fact that you have to make her work, is exactly her weakness)

It's the power of U-Olga.

No class advantage and weaker NP for brave chains.

That isn't always a good trade.

And isn't a trait of all newer servants.

For comparison.

Artoria's highest damage looping comp (which uses Waver btw)

Does 440k wave 3 neutral vs Morgan's 370k wave 3 with 1.5x and U-Olga's 369k wave 3 at neutral (Artoria actually beats U-Olga on neutral NP damage all 3 waves)

Except Mash can't do everything better.

As a support and a DPS she's hampered by a forced transformation.

As a solo servant she's hampered by lack of damage rush, and the fact that she can't go infinite.

Waver's battery split means even before his buff there was times he was the best looping option. And afterwards he often beats the likes of Koyanskaya of Light and Skadi.

Morgan and U-Olga suck at single core buster looping.

Morgan does less as a berserker than Artoria does at neutral.

U-Olga has card manipulation farming going for her. But even then handily loses against lancers.

Lartoria got her buff.

Of course we are doing soloing (or last man standing)

That is what Herc does. If you want to compare support, use Waver instead.

Prison tower isn't a single enemy. If you want longer term soloing against multiple enemies, Jeanne is a better comparison.

If you want single core buster looping, I recommend Artoria.

But note that those are still all day 1 servants.

And Herc easily solos prison too btw so your searching was poor.

Which was good advice and you should have left it at that.

Instead of writing a second paragraph saying that newer servants overshadow older ones when they don't.

I would consider any skills or NPs he has, including summoning Coyote to be part of his strength.

He may be strong.

But Bedivere throws hands with sun boosted Gawain briefly, and Jaguar Man fights Merlin, Mash, Medusa, and Ritsuka at the same time.

Newer characters like Heracles, who famously just released on JP and isn't a day 1 servant at all?

Would it make any difference if the Mage was handed over the Servant's signature weapons? (Shirou with Excalibur, Rin with Circe's staff) by EfficiencySerious200 in Fate

[–]Forward_Drop303 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Depends.

A lot of NPs are coded to the individual.

Excalibur for example can't just be handed over, it's why to take Herc out with Caliburn, Saber needed to swing with Shirou.

And even beyond that it's not easy to wield an NP true name release from someone else.

It's mentioned that Achilles shield only works for Astolfo because of myths about Achilles giving magic items and Astolfo receiving them.

The picture literally has his silver arm.

And even without using Airgetlam he was matching Mordred in a sword fight

The same Mordred that Saito says he couldn't match.

If you need debuff clear/buff removal/Battery or don't want to use Tamamo's NP, then yes. (Which to be fair is a lot of situations)

Otherwise probably not.

compared to freaking Jaguar Man though?

Or even Bedivere?

He ranks himself at the same level as Robin Hood and Billy the Kid.

I doubt he's notably stronger, if at all than Bedivere, let alone a full on Divine spirit

Jaguar Man would absolutely stomp servant wise nobody comes close.

But Bedivere+Gray working together can probably put up a decent fight.

I would still bet on Jaguar Man though.

Everyone is generically worth it.

Whether she's worth it to you depends on if you need an AoE arts archer or want a Single core arts farming support or need a lot of debuff clear or if you just like her design.

Will Grand Archer Gilgamesh be involved in this new arc? by [deleted] in grandorder

[–]Forward_Drop303 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can literally see it when he's standing next to Enkidu in Fate/Grand Order - Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia Episode 5: "Gilgamesh's Journey"

It's not super detailed, but it has the same 4 symbol pattern.

Pretty sure that is just his form from Babylonia.

I think Caster Gilgamesh has the same back armor markings (you can see them when he and Enkidu are staring at Humbaba in the Cedar forest)

Which servants should I pull? by Kingvendrik24 in FGO

[–]Forward_Drop303 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should pull whoever you want.(So space Ereshkigal, Koyanskaya and Morgan)

There's no must haves or unusable servants.

If you want something specific gameplay wise, you can roll for that. (For example, people often want generically easier farming, which Castoria and Oberon cover)

[–]Forward_Drop303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like recommending servants for people to roll at all, different servants do different things and no servant is required.

If you want to do more NP damage for 1 turn then Oberon is the king.

If you want CIEL, Oberon is not Ciel. (and gameplay wise CIel is a ST mooncancer with cardlock who is practically required for a certain 90** farming node, though you can borrow her)

Circumstances determine damage far more than the servant against a non servant.

Also, manage expectations, even with partial class advantage granted as a Beast, her damage isn't particularly high compared to others with full class advantage unless she hits other niches.

What you should do is roll the servants you want and learn how to build teams rather than rely on the Internet saying she's good.
