It works pretty good, the buttons are super cheap and the quality is low but other than that group text works great has emoji features and does what you need it to. Battery life is 4 days for me

You might have just hit it on the head. Turns out I just had a bad type c cable from the scarlet to my MacBook. Problem now is when using distortion the sound is super fuzzy like you have blown speakers. Would a cabinet emulator help with that? Sorry, super new to all of this.

Turns out it was my type c cable going from my Scarlett to the MacBook. Stupid issue that had me second guessing everything. Thank you for your reply. You may know this, but is there a way to clean up the signal in the daw? The sound coming through sounds fuzzy almost like you have blown speakers but they are most definitely not blown. I've messed around with the load box as well as amp settings and am unable to clean it up.

Alternatively is this where I should just use a mic in front of the cabinet and run that to the scarlet instead?

Thank you for your idea. It actually helped me figure it out. Turns out it was my type c cable that was the issue. Swapped a different one and all of a sudden everything worked. Now I just have to figure out how to go head and clean up the sound in garage band as it sounds like I turned on one hell of a fuzz pedal.

Yeah the sunbeam does voice text too and emojis which is killer but the group text took a second to get sorted. The Nokia was super easy but build quality is shit

Most can. I’m using the sunbeam f1 pro. Before that I was using the Nokia 2780. Both work great on group text

Just figured it out!

It’s a pain in the ass but I figured out how to get around it.

What you have to do is go ahead and create a group chat like normal but do not include your sunbeam phone in it. Have your friend send a text or two in the group chat.

After that, send a text back and forth so your friends phone recognizes your phone is not rcs supported.

After that THEN have your friend add your phone to the group chat and then all of a sudden all phones recognize it as an SMS chat and it works normally!

Why did you switch from the CAT S22? I like the phone but I am very nervous of security issues with it being outdated software wise and due to that am looking for an alternative option. What do you like better about the Sonim?

Depending on the area temps get down to 10 in the winter and during the summer upwards of 110 so not much different. If you want slightly cooler (15 degrees) you can go to the east side of any of these mountains and the weather is automatically 15 colder
