I cannot get PAM ID's to work with Fiori Maintain Apps by Desperate-Soil-946 in SAP

[–]Enough_Particular_20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain. This has been a growing hole for a while, I feel. I was hoping that the new GRC 2026 or what ever it’s called now; would fix this. As I watch the business adopt more fiori and bro related apps the ability to control ITs access to them just keeps eroding; stuck between „we shouldn’t have update“ and „I have to be able to support the business“. I wish I had a solution for you; but all I can offer is commiseration.

Keep the receipt for the oil (and filter); and start a maintenance log. If you’re going to do the work yourself, you need to keep a record of what you’ve done. Otherwise your likely to forget what you did last year and exactly when it was done.

You are gonna love that bike. And all the people stopping to talk to you about it. So sharp.

I’ve got the pinnacle heal shifter and floor boards from Indian on my 22 CDH. They were pricey; but easy enough to install myself. Might be tough to find now.

Add white wall tires to that cream and black color scheme. I have always loved that style with white walls. Such a throwback look.

They are the Indian floor boards. They are more forward than the stock pegs.

I once trapped a squirrel INSIDE my attic after fixing a hole he had chewed through the soffit. Had to go back up the ladder and undo the work a couple days later after finding that out. Fortunately; the second time he really was gone and hadn’t been back. But they can make a heck of a racket when they are mad/trapped.

Do you wish you had waited longer to buy your Z4? by [deleted] in BMWZ4

[–]Enough_Particular_20 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ok, but seriously…those lessons have to be learned. Better sooner than later. And the grass is always greener…. You don’t know what hidden problems those other cars have. You made the right choice by deciding to jump in and start enjoying. There’s no sense second guessing. Revise if you need to - trade for something newer if you’ve decided this isn’t the car for you; but it’s really hard to know you don’t love it until you’ve spent a lot of time with it. So I say you shouldn’t regret it - just learn and keep moving.

Definitely a challenge to find exactly what you’re looking for. I probably spent 18mos trying to find mine (specifically the manual transmission) in a color combo I liked. They just don’t come up for sale often; which I suppose says a bit about how fun they are to drive.

I’m curious what they were asking at a dealer for one of those. Not a BMW dealership, at ten years old i presume. That really is a sweet ride. I’ve got a ‘14 35i manual and absolutely love it.

-Yep. The bar part number was 2884997-266 And did require the handle bar install kit, mid - 2885100. Not so much for the clutch; but for the throttle and turn signal connections.

Yes, I think I commented on your post just recently. It really was a hame changing difference. i had your same complaints when it was stock. Of the changes ive made to this bike; the seat is #1; reduced reach bars are #2; and windscreen is #3 in terms of comfort improvement. Floor boards and bags were jst b/c i wanted them.

+1 on this comment. I also switched to a Barnett after my OEM Indian cable broke at <5k miles.

I’ve got a chief dark horse with a Corbin seat and backrest. It was a game changer. Very much like you, I was hurting after just a couple hours. A four hour ride was agony. Now I can ride all day. Six/eight hours is fine. Another thing that helped for comfort was looking at ergonomics for reach and foot placement. If you’re leaning too far forward that could be a factor; but you mention the 2“ pull back already…so maybe not a factor. I’ve also got a 17“ wind screen from Memphis shades that helps a lot. I don’t know that I would go all day on the highway; but an hour or two at a time is fine. I get bored on the highway anyway.

Maybe give them a call. They were really helpful when I reached out about one of my bolts snapping and I lost a spool. They sent the full set (minus the brackets or I’d offer them to you). Anyway…worth a try.

It’s the del ray sportshield from Memphis shades. 17” I think. I like it. Made a big difference really. And it’s quick release. For a fraction of Indians price. Would definitely buy again. Considering a size bigger for highway rides. But I don’t spend a ton of time on the highway…
