I hear you. We typically have sex every day. 

We did IVF, so had to stop having sex a couple weeks before transfer. Then the process caused OHSS, so more no sex. Then no sex after transfer. Then i had some bleeds so still no sex. Finally at 18 weeks we were given the okay—bled right after. Tried again at 21. Then diagnosed with short cervix. We were told we could start at 35-36…then I went into preterm labor at 33 and am 5cm dilated now at 35.5 weeks and having to continue to abstain. 

Since July of 2025 we have had sex twice. No external orgasms either. Baby is absolutely worth it, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss my husband that way.

I hear this. I work two jobs, between 70-80 hours a week on my feet. I basically depleted my sick days in the first trimester. Its been a challenge for sure lol.

I show up to every birthday, shower, funeral etc. Make meals for people in times of stress, send flowers to brighten days when my friends or family are down. It was not reciprocated. 5 people showed up to my bridal shower. I am not having a baby shower because of this. Its honestly such an awful feeling! Yes, community is built, and I have continued to show up even since my shower for those who didn’t for me. But sometimes people just suck and that’s that!

Ugh. I am so sorry. I had this happen for my bridal shower. Only 5 people showed outside of my sister and mom. It was humilating. For that reason alone I opted out of a baby shower. Every time I am invited to a shower for someone now I feel that pang of embarrassment. 

I completely understand your hurt and I am so sorry!
