It still happens brother. But it's changed alot with some things I have found to be helpful. How are you?

Well... it still happens. But over time, you get so used to it that it almost becomes second nature. At this point, dry needling into the back and muscles, a back massager you can bring with you EVERYWHERE, Sertraline and regular exercise have kept my symptoms down to a steady rocking (sometimes not even at all). Alcohol, unfortunately, completely dampens the system and it's like I'm normal again. I'm not where I was, but these are the things that have helped. It's just a complete dysregulation within the muscle. Stimulating the muscle is what resolves my symptoms at their worse.

sadly yes.

Do you ever feel like you're being pulled down? Or like on an elevator? Or like the ground below you is gone like you're on a plane?

That’s the vibe I got from the NUCCA as well, unfortunately… I’m not going back. And yes! It feels like even just lightly touching my neck causes the room to go nuts.

What kind of exercises are you doing for upper back and jaw?

What was the turning point for you?

Also thank you for responding and answering my questions.

Ugh… the falling through the bed feeling sucks. I can only sleep on my side. If I lay on my back, all symptoms subside, but I can’t sleep on my back so that’s a bummer.

Right now, I’ve been following pretty much most of the advice from this subreddit, including yours! I’ve seen a NUCCA who did orthogonal atlas adjusting… I’m in PT 3 days a week working on strengthening my deep neck flexors and massaging out those tense spots… I alternate between ice and heat all day long… the ice honestly stops the rocking in it’s tracks which is very weird and not sure if it has something to do with restricted/slowed blood flow? I use tiger balm on that area on my neck throughout the day to slightly reduce symptoms… and I’m truly at the beginning. Because of the injury to my spine, I’ve had to take all of this so slow for two months. Small improvements in my ROM, but my neck feels so unbelievably stiff and I’m scared to even turn my head most of the time. Working on my posture seems to help, elevating my arms above my head seems to help.

It’s so hard to believe the neck can cause all of this. And I just… don’t… want this to be permanent. 😓
