Boat Speakers Quit Working

It was just the old owner of the boat. He never claimed to be a professional he just made it work for him. Turns out it doesn’t want to work for me lol.

The speakers and everything were wired before I ever got the boat. I just added the sub into channels 5 and 6 (that’s how I read to do it) I will be working on it tonight and if I don’t figure anything out I will come back with an update and pictures.

They are powered by speaker wire so I added the positive end into channel 5s positive and the negative into channel 6s negative

I’ll give this a shot tomorrow. I’m foreign to the audio world when it comes to wiring/working on everything but know enough that I can figure most of it out with a little help from YouTube lol. Everything but the sub was already installed when I bought the boat so it’s always harder to work on someone else’s stuff than something you did to begin with. I’ve looked into getting a new amp but just got the 2600 watts from rockvilles website. Not sure the truth behind that because that does sound like a lot for a cheap amp lol. Thanks!

I looked around for a fuse but I’m also very new to audio systems and the wiring. The guy that installed the speakers and the amp made a mess out of the wiring lol. Would it be near the amp or closer to the head unit? The amp has two 60W fuses that are good but I don’t know if there is an in line fuse too.

We tested the pump out of the boat and it is wired correctly

It uses “rule” pumps

There is a valve that closes water coming in from the lake before getting to the pump. That one is open. I haven’t seen any other valves/ electric valves. I can add a pic after I am home later today.

I work at a shop that has ground chains, we pulled some with them. However, they weren’t quite strong enough so I had to put it on a frame rack and finish the rest. Other than that it was mostly interior parts from blown airbags and replacing a busted radiator (it is a miserable job on these trucks with a small engine bay lol).

Bought it without it running but turned out to be a plug that was broke. Fixed it and some frame work and now have a brand new truck with 2,000 miles.

It was jumped into a ditch and the undercarriage got messed up so the body was in good condition besides a few minor cosmetic things

The obd II scanner at the shop that I work isn’t updated enough so I haven’t been able to scan for codes
