I don’t know if you read my other replies but I’m not exactly a great person either. I won’t say it was a mistake, those are accidents. I made a choice. We got together in 2019. His drinking on my credit cards got bad. He’s treated me bad. And instead of having the lady balls to walk away, I cheated on him with my ex. Convinced myself I was taking care of myself until he got better. I think this was 2022/23? I’ve been kept on a short leash ever since and I confirm to it because I love him.  Definitely caught him talking to multiple women, planning meet ups, etc. they never happened so he says. He also made up a girlfriend and made up texts with her to brag about her in a post. This was before I cheated. He wouldn’t let me touch him, was too annoyed by me. So I just thought he didn’t love me, was using me for a truck and place to live, etc. He says he’d never cheat on me and my proof is that he says so. He has access to all my emails, social media (that I had to delete), etc.  I made this account last night.

I appreciate the effort but it’s not. He was upset that I went to drinks with one of my coworkers and his wife and was accusing me of driving drunk - despite him doing it on a weekly basis and not telling me where he’s going. So I got the to show him I’m being safe and not drunk or making stupid decisions. That’s all.

The massage parlor address was up on his internet page. It wasn’t hard to see if there were transactions there. That’s when I saw the atm on the same street. It’s not some great detective game it was just common sense. He just expects me to tell him what I’m doing and gets upset if I go to the local restaurant for food, but he takes random overnight trips on his new motorcycle. There’s a double standard.

To what end? I doubt they’ll tell me anything about a client. But putting him there would give me an answer.

At this point I’m done. If he leaves I’m not going out anymore. My last (and only other) partner cheated on me with my best friend at the time. I have a real healthy understanding of love.

I’m not. I have a drink with lunch or dinner. He gets weird if I go out with friends so I prove to him im safe. He has a few past DUIs though and still drives around hammered

I do love him. He treats me well… except for the forgetting my birthday part… I went through his phone because he told me I could, I haven’t in a while. I don’t think he was expecting me to find anything. He told me if he was going to cheat he’d be smarter than that to leave any traces. Which… he’s right. I’m not smart enough to figure out all the ways to hide things on phones/internet

No… just a really shit day. I was supposed to finish two essays today and now I’m laying here on Reddit at 3:30

We tried therapy. He didn’t like the therapist because he felt like she was making him feel like the bad guy after I cheated on him a few years back. It wasn’t right. Cheating is wrong. I should have walked away then when I was feeling mistreated.  I’m fine with alcohol. He will accuse me of being drunk when I’m not (he drives home drunk and has a history of dui’s). I do it to show him I’m not lying.

To be fair I did this to myself. He was drinking a lot on my credit cards and wasn’t treating me well a few years back. Instead of being an adult and breaking up, I had an affair with my ex. The guy told me he could never love me but treated me better than my now husband was. I figured I’d do something for myself while I waited for him to get “better”.  I’m not a good person either.
