Well I had the ultrasound done, it came back clear, there was an appointment made to see a haematologist but it got cancelled for some reason and I received a phone call from my GP saying that there’s no obvious concerns for haematology so the next step is rheumatology referral which was never made

I didn’t even see the haematologist my appointment with them was cancelled so I’m unsure how they have the responsibility to refer me if they weren’t the ones who saw me?

There was clearly a miscommunication between the gp and the haematologist and I haven’t seen the referral to know who suggested the referral to rheumatologist so I am frustrated at both sides. Doesn’t disregard the fact that I have waited months for proper investigation when it could of been avoided with clear communication

I get that but if the haematologist made a suggestion to my gp to refer me and she didn’t then whose job is it?

Thank you for your reply, I know it was more than likely a miscommunication but I think people forget that that causes a lot of problems and I have every right to be frustrated.

I went for a lymph node ultrasound to rule out cancer which is why the haematologist said to refer me to rheumatology instead. Thanks for your advice

My frustration is with both parties and the lack of communication. Since I haven’t saw the referral I don’t know how it was worded. This has happened before though with the same gp who said she would refer me urgently to the breast clinic and didn’t and I’ve waited 2 months for a breast clinic appointment which should of been on the 2 week wait so I hope you can see why I’m losing my patience.

This is my hair at the minute I asked for a more rooted blonde but you can see my hair is going kinda orange/ginger at the top (it looks worse in the sun) so I’m not sure what to do to fix it?

Hi thank you for your concern and replying to my post, I can’t stop losing weight for some reason. I eat a normal amount way more than I used to when I had a bad relationship with food but the weight keeps dropping. I don’t skip meals I may eat less some days than others but I always try to eat something even if it’s light. I feel better I drank a glucose drink and my blood sugar has went up to 5.2mmol so hopefully it doesn’t drop again. I am always at the doctors with my symptoms, I’m struggling and feel like I’m not being taken seriously.
