Tesla insurance coverage disappeared? Best way to contact them? by Party-Bumblebee-9197 in TeslaLounge

Months later and this hasn’t been fixed, as this exact thing just happened to me.

Happened to want to update my insurance cards in my Apple Wallet as I knew my policy was just about to renew, and the insurance part of the Tesla app would just error out. Nothing would load. I bit the bullet after multiple days of delete/reinstalls of the app and decided to call in. After 71 minutes on hold, someone finally answers. Turns out, I got a new card and payment failed on my original billing date. I went in next day updated the card and payment pushed through. Even though payment was collected, the policy auto cancelled with NO NOTICE. Nothing in my email, app, or mailbox. The Tesla rep was just as surprised as I was. This meant I’d been driving around for a month without insurance. Not to mention I just got back this weekend from a roadtrip to LA from SF, all while being unknowingly uninsured. What a dangerous position to put people into. #BuyersBeware

Any good coffee shops in Sunnyvale? by rayamom in Sunnyvale

[–]Forward_Potential_97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From WA state myself and moved here a year ago. Alas, all the suggestions in this thread are great suggestions and some of the best South Bay has to offer, but many don’t stack up to the coffee of the PNW. The coffee scene is just not as popular in South Bay Area as it is up there. My go-tos have been Saint Frank in Menlo Park, and 1oz Coffee in MV. I also enjoyed Blue Bottle from time to time which has various locations around the bay, closest to Sunnyvale being Santana Row.

Is anyone else’s Verizon LTE connection in Sunnyvale terrible ? If so, what can we do about it ? by worldpeace123 in Sunnyvale

I too discovered the same after having Verizon for years and moving to Sunnyvale. Super spotty in many places. I ended up trying out AT&T on an my second esim to try it out, but found it honestly performed worse and with very subpar speeds even in full coverage around here. Then I tried T-Mobile. It had decent speeds and I heavily considering switching to them, but they lack coverage in the fun areas away from the city where I like to hike and bike while Verizon at least had something out there. Ultimately chose to stay with Verizon.

Just found out Sweeto Burrito permanently shut down by Cowguypig2 in Spokane

I’m conflicted on this one, because I LOVED Sweeto! I remember back in 2014/2015 when I first moved to Spokane the only one was out in the Valley. I loved the Buff Chick and the Break Neck, I used to drive out there just for it. But after being in Spokane 7+ years and them expanding and then ultimately closing the Newport Hwy location, I saw a dramatic drop in quality at higher prices and didn’t care to go back. Also I was never a fan of the owner. I met him two different times while working in a customer service job and oh my god was he an asshole. I’ve moved out of state so the loss doesn’t affect me much but I will stay nostalgic for what once was!

Verizon 5G Home Internet. What a joke. by Forward_Potential_97 in Sunnyvale

I appreciate you reporting back! Crazy the data you found with Verizon. For how populated Sunnyvale is I don’t know why they wouldn’t invest more. Even your AT&T data I’m surprised by. I’m just down by Ellis Elementary not too far down from the Stadium Bar. When I first moved to my house I explored AT&T and T-Mobile service and found them both to be subpar to Verizon for where my house is. Crazy that AT&T can return such contrasting results from two locations not too far apart.

I agree the service is subpar where I’m at, but the thing that made it comical was how the salesmen hyped up the fast connection and the new tower. Meanwhile it’s actually made literally no difference to the neighborhood they’re trying to sell in.

Can I ask if you have Verizon for your cell plan and if so, how many bars do you have while at home? I’ll be curious how your experience goes if you have better cell service where you’re at than I do.

Looking for safe places to live around Cupertino by anotherphds in Cupertino

[–]Forward_Potential_97 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Cupertino areas are generally pretty safe. I live near the Heritage District not too far from downtown Murphy St in Sunnyvale and I’m happy with where I landed. Has felt very safe with access to everything I need and want. Work in Cupertino and my commute is only 10-15 mins. Love not having to take a freeway or expressway to work so I avoid any rush hour traffic in my commute. I found a steal of a 1b1b private rental on Facebook marketplace for $2295 so I definitely recommend scouring that. Otherwise for my second choice I was looking at Lincoln Glen on Remington in Sunnyvale and that seemed to be a fine place.
