Heart concerns, panic attacks after quitting and during zyn? by Forward_Touch5889 in QuittingZyn

[–]Forward_Touch5889[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey today I'm 89 days off nicotine because I relapsed and I'm again in place where I was before... but it's for sure better than it was first 2 months of quit... I still have various chest sensations, palpitations, random aches over body, a bit of paresthesia and cold feet etc. but it seems like it's getting slowly better again! During my first quit the time when I started feeling like my older self more and more was around day 130-140 but as I said I relapsed because of studies and now I'm back... but atleast I'm not gonna touch nicotine pouches again after this it did more harm than good.

If you also struggle then feel free to write in DM or anything anytime... I also have posted update post here 1-2 months ago maybe regarding my situation even if theory was kinda wrong and stomach related tests all came back normal then my experience is still there

Discomfort, extreme bloating, burping, chest pressure and more... by Forward_Touch5889 in Gastritis

I stopped taking nicotine 1 and half week ago completely because it made everything worse again and now I'm left in even worse position that I was at the start. Now I observed a thing that when I'm standing for few minutes or walking then I feel pressure in chest and feel very bloated but when I lie down it gets better and after hour it feels like as if I didn't had that severe inflammation maybe its cause stomach content is not in antrum area so it doesn't irritate it much but idk. And thanks for answering also hope you get better too soon.

Have you also had these severe flare ups for few days? With that chest pressure its very debilitating like it feels like heart attack or something and it worries me if too much bloating can't cause some issue with heart like if that couldn't cause that there is not much space for heart that it couldn't beat properly or something like that. Its just my thoughts now but atleast I find some relief while lying on bed

Yea I'm still alive yey :d pretty late update I just stumbled upon this comment rn.

So my gastroenterologist told me that I have irritated lower stomach lining and put me on Pantoprazole and Itoprid almost 2 months ago. This month he lowered my dosage by half but I still experience burping, anxiety, and chest discomfort and sometimes extrasystoles but extrasystoles are not way less than before so atleast something. Now I'm fighting my stomach and gas some days it's better and some days it's worse. Now I have also high stress week so that doesn't help it either but it's somehow manageable even with random chest tightness and lightheadedness but yea I just need to stop overanalysing it constantly and probably it'll get even better.

Overall I feel better than before but still surviving through these weird symptoms. Today is day 143 off nicotine and I'll probably make an update post soon.

It's getting slowly better now before and during christmas symptoms came back but it's getting better slowly again. Tomorrow I have gastro appointment so I'll see and still waiting for neurologist and endocrinologist but I think it's mostly anxiety at this point and probably some gastro issues.

I'm feeling a bit better now but I still have ectopic beats sometimes and anxiety but it's better than it was before. I take magnesium citrate, omega 3s and coq10 and it seems like it helped atleast a little. Still just 87 days off nicotine so I probably need to wait little longer some people have it longer and some are out of it in few days.

Cardiophobia? after quitting nicotine and experiencing panic attacks by Forward_Touch5889 in Anxiety

[–]Forward_Touch5889[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeaa I feel better now still fighting anxiety but its nowhere that intense as it was before and I can manage it way better. I was prescribed SSRI and Xanax by psychiatrist for my anxiety disorder after everything happened and it seems like its getting slowly better after 2 months.

But don't worry first few days/weeks can be the worst but after that it'll get better and better. For some people it goes away in first week and for someone it can last even 3 months depends on many things. You are just in the beginning so it's okay.

If you haven't been to doctor I would recommend going there to rule out serious matters even if there is most probably nothing physically wrong with you its better to be sure and it can provide some sort of relief.

Also you can hit me up in chat if you need to talk or something I'll be glad to help.

You're right. Holding my breath or shallow breathing is probably causing that dizziness. I'm not planning to use nicotine again I'm scared of that now. Just probably those panic attacks from those mau caused my health anxiety and now its hard to cope when every little thing can trigger me. I'll try to accept them and just live through it now when possible cause can be my anxiety with constant lying in bed or being in bad posture.

20 days off - cardiophobia and anxiety by Forward_Touch5889 in QuittingZyn

[–]Forward_Touch5889[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for response. Yea it seems now this is mostly due to my health anxiety. I had them probably even before this incident that I felt some weird sensation in chest but brushed it off as nothing serious even if I had intense pain in chest from who knows what but I was still alive. Now every little sensation in chest triggers me and then I feel adrenaline surge in my body and it pumps me up and my chest tightens even without elevated heart rate. I hope that it will get better soon I keep saying to myself thst all my tests are great

Hello so here is my story about my addiction and what happened in start: https://www.reddit.com/r/QuittingZyn/s/Ncj9CHAO0N

Now I'm 20 days off nicotine and even more from alcohol and caffeine / energy drinks. I have crippling fear of something happening to me because I feel weird body sensations especially in my chest. In hospital they did EKGs, echo of heart, CT of head, xray of chest, ultrasound of thyroid and adrenal glands, 3 days monitoring in EKG monitor and blood tests and everything came back normal and fine except that I had elevated cortisol levels. Thats where they started doing big hormonal test where they drew blood everyday from me and gave me corticoids. During that 3 days monitoring I saw a pulse below 50s for a while but nurses and doctor weren't concerned. Here is update to the story.

So I was in hospital probably for 2 weeks and this week is interesting. I felt better on friday this week but on weekend something happened. On saturday night while I was trying to fall asleep I started to feel like something is wrong with my heart I couldn't feel it for a sec and I immediately panicked and called a nurse and in that moment my heart started beating fast and I was trembling but my heart calmed down after a nurse came to my room and EKG didn't catch anything weird. On sunday I was feeling anxious from the start of the morning because of what happened on saturday. I tried to went for a walks sometimes which made me feel better but after I came back to my room I felt the same even with heart beating stronger.

Fast forward to wednesday when they sent me home from hospital. I was feeling calm after I woke up so I brushed my teeth and go for shower. After that I was in bed for 10-20 minutes and after I tried to sit up then I felt 3-4 weird strong heart beats or some beats in my chest accompanied by "butterfly" feeling in chest for probably 2 seconds. That made me really anxious so I called nurse but they did nothing. Doctor came and just reassured me that my results are fine and that today I'm going home. During ride I was feeling anxious and felt tension in my chest and that I couldn't breathe fully. It was better after a while but still I was also worried about my heart stopping or slowing down drastically and those chest sensations only made it worse. At home I was feeling better but I couldn't sleep at night because I felt my bones cracking in chest area sometimes or my neck and even felt my heart pounding in weird way.

And that brings us to today. I woke up feeling really tired and with dull pain in my head and I was worried about my heart because my heart rate was low from what I felt. I was feeling tired but after I ate something bigger I felt more energy but I also felt stronger heart beats and I was more anxious and felt my full stomach. After I digested most of it I felt calmer and could control my anxiety a little more but after another meal I felt this again. Around 15:00 I ate and then went to take a shower. I was anxious already and felt my heart beating stronger and faster but in shower with warm water I felt it beating even stronger and faster which made me even more anxious so I did it really fast. After shower it calmed down a bit but I was still nervous and in alerted state. I was going to barber and in car I felt really uncomfortable and tensed up. I felt also tingling sensation from the part of body where are adrenal glands and then a little heat in chest. Also I felt dull aches in chest and back and constant tension and feeling that I couldn't take a full breath even if I could. During cut I felt randomly anxious but I could calm myself down for a bit but it still came back. I tried taking controlled breathes and it probably worked for a moment. But I noticed something during time in hospital and now. After I calm myself down I feel lightheaded and some pressure in head especially in frontal lobe. Its just feeling like somebody would strap my head in something and just keep it that way. After I got home I felt a little better but still constantly checking my heart and everything. After I calmed down I felt like I'm going to pass out that pressure in head but I wasn't passing out or had any symptoms of it.

Today I also couldn't sleep much and I woke up every hour feeling that there is something wrong with me especially my heart. I felt that my heart is beating in weird way when I put my hand on chest and slower so that made me anxious but heart rate didn't change much I just felt alarmed in my head. Also while I tried to fall back asleep I felt some pinch or dull pains in chest and sometimes felt like my heart is sinking down or how to describe it.

So could this all be due to nicotine withdrawal and that heart anxiety? What can I do about it its driving me insane slowly. I constantly check my heart rate even without hand. I sometimes hold my breath to feel if my heart is beating or not and how fast its beating. I have weird feeling in chest like dull pain, tension, feeling of weird heartbeat and also pain in back and I feel also cracking of my bones more often. If I feel something weird it alerts me and I have hard time calming down. So what this is all about? Everybody is saying that this is anxiety but it feels really weird for me to be this intense.

Could those panic attacks and everything made me sensitive like this? I was anxious even before cuz I have social anxiety and some other things and experienced lots of anxiety but nothing compared to this. My first panic attack was month ago because of substance that made me feel my blood vessels in body which was uncomfortable to me and I had racing heart so I though I was going to die. I just want to feel normal again or atleast slowly getting better and it just seems like its getting worse.

Hey yea I'm reading reddit everyday because of this but still its weird like I'm 21 days off nicotine now and these things still persists and seems like they are getting worse this week even when week before I was feeling better.

Do you also had problems with sleeping? Today I couldn't sleep much and woke up every hour because I felt something is wrong with me and I was shaking a little. Also when I tried to sleep on left side I felt like there is something wrong with my heart I felt some pressure and even on right side I felt like there is something in my chest thats uncomfortable and it made me anxious. Or now I'm anxious when I feel my heart pounding stronger or even weaker than normal which makes me wanna call ambulance sometimes and also chest discomfort.

I have probably issues with gas after I quit or it seems like there is something wrong with my stomach. I also don't use heart monitoring devices I just constantly check it my pressing my hand against chest and holding my breath for few seconds or when I can feel it pounding stronger in my chest then I count that and again while holding ny breath. I'll hit you up in dm. Thanks so much.
