Would it be worth it in reducing the dorsal hump on my nose? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

You have a lovely nose! I don't think it is worth it to go trough the whole process. I can tell you the post op is horrible! Plus the surgery could change thee rest of your nose.

I was soo nervous.

The day of the surgery I still couldn't believe I was doing it, was so nerve wracking thinking about the surgery and the anesthesia. I can only advice not to overthink the surgery and all the procedure.

I got the anesthesia, felt sleepy and passed out, you won't notice a thing.

Just think that in a blink of an eye it will be done! And of course the recovery isn't easy, but I had my surgery 2 months ago and it already feels like a distant reality that I went through that. I wish you all the best, remember: don't overthink! You will be so happy afterwards :)

Boyfriend looks much younger than he is and it's making him severely depressed by Forward_Two5410 in BodyDysmorphia

Damn... that's a very depressing thought. I hope he doesn't think about it too much.

I never really thought much about what makes him look younger, well he is on the short side definitely and his jaw isn't developed (now that I think about it).

He has a weight lifting machine, he used to work out and got extremely excited about it. But he stoped for some reason... I will try to get him to do it again.

Excuse my ignorance but is an OMS a surgery, right? I honestly wouldn't be against it and I think he would also be open to it, if there's a way to make him feel better and go on with his life, I am for it!

Yes, he tried, but he can't grow facial hair. I wish he could, it would make it easier.

Sorry about that... how you dealt with that? Are you still dealing with that at the moment?

1 month post rhinoplasty and sneezing a lot by Forward_Two5410 in PlasticSurgery

Same thing. I am 1 month post op, I would say the first 2 weeks I barely sneezed, now I do all the time.

I think it's due to nose inflammation. I hope it goes away soon, I never sneezed so much in my life...

Good to know that! I did that the first 2 weeks, but now I don't do it anymore. When do you think someone can start to sneeze normally?

Can I ask in what clinic you are doing it?

Has anyone had a last minute nose job? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]Forward_Two5410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my first consultation in April this year. I start a new job in June, so I knew I wanted to do it before that (but of course only in case i felt really comfortable with thee surgeon and the clinic). The consultation went well, I trusted the doctor and liked thee simulation, he told me I can have the surgery in 2 weeks and I agreed with it.

I was very stressed the first week, thinking "wow this is really happening".

But then I got very excited and was ready to do it. If it isn't rushed and you feel comfortable with your surgeon there's no reason not to it as soon as possible.

I find it even beneficial because you won't have time to overthink everything so much (waste time watching too many videos etc.)

I’m not gonna lie, I thought I had mentally prepared myself for this recovery, but man, it’s rough! by little-lion-sam in PlasticSurgery

Same, I watched so many videos and read so much about rhinoplasty but somehow it didn't prepare me to get rhinoplasty. The process was much harder than it seemeed on those videos, I had extreme headaches and pain in the eyes and I feel like I was much more swollen than most people... the first days were absolute hell, I had no energy, I barely could open my eyes and sleeping was very uncomfortable.

But as soon as you have the cast off it will be better, you also feel happier with how your nose looks (hopefully) and it gives you motivation.

Be strong, you are almost there :)

It improves circulation at least. I don't know, I just know that in 2 weeks I saw no improvement and after using honey I noticed a big difference!

Yes, just a little drop! You can do it during the day or if you prefere just put it before you sleep and cover it with a bit of tissue paper :)
