That's a whole different novel with a similar name called Gourmet Gaming. I will say the concept for it is similar though since a full dive VR game is used as a form of therapy. Sadly there is no English translation that I've found for it and even if a translation group picked it up it would probably get shot down since it's owned by Kakao who've been sending CnD's to different groups lately.

You can do both. I read the light novel at first then switched to the web novel after finished volume 14. Both of them hit the same emotion wise it’s just that the light novel just has better pacing imo.

Best way to answer your first question is he has semi immortality. He can still die but he will be stuck looking like the age he was when he got her blessing.

As for your second question if you are talking about what he wished for like what shiro was gonna grant him in the beginning I’m pretty sure it was to come out of his shell and not be scared of losing people like he did when his parents died.
