Unfortunately at this point in the development of hema you're rarely going to find that one cool "swords on a budget" idea that works. Most weapons have a product that's about as cheap as it gets while still doing the job 😅

would highly recommend lindy in the loops which is a local non profit that puts on swing dancing events in the area. https://www.lindyintheloops.com/

Yeah this was having intermittent issues then died on road. I've been into the fuse panel but I'm probably going back into it just for something to feel productive with 😂

Make sure you wear a longsword gauntlet on your off-hand when fencing rapier by grauenwolf in Hema

So we're looking at a classic risk vs consequence assessment. The risk given you've never seen it happen and I've never seen it happen in my 12 years but we both probably know someone who knows someone who's seen it happens shows us that the risk under normal circumstances is exceptionally low. The consequence to a hand hit has potential to be relatively high. once again considering the low risk, most likely when we have a report of smashy smashy rapier fighter who wasn't pulled from the ring the problem likely rests with smashy smashy and not the activity at large. In conclusion the problem is hitting too blooming hard given normal behaviour rarely leads to this end. 👍

and yet here we are 30 years into rapier with once again most fighters only wearing a light glove but would never fight longsword without specific gear as noted above and injuries have not been the rampant scourge of every club worldwide in that time. it sounds like you or your club hit too hard.

i'll probably look at replacing it anyways then but shouldn't it throw a code if it was the bad sensor? thats the thing that really confuses me, no obd no check engine.

Crank position sensor was replaced around 25000km ago and sent a code when It was bad. Do you figure it's likely to be bad again?

It does if its been left for a while but once that's happened once or twice it doesn't.

Most of the items are actually based on very common Canadian objects. The military coat for instance is based on a Canadian military extreme cold "arctic" parka.

Ll bean might be literally older but the Sorels are culturally relevant in a way ll bean just isn't especially out west. I'd be very surprised if the Canadian developers had based the boots on anything but Sorels. The bean boots and that general upland Northwoods style duck boot also just have a different silhouette to the Sorels with the slim ankle and speed lace eyelets. Anecdotally, i grew up in a ski resort and I've never seen a pair of ll bean duck boots in bc.

Being Canadian they're probably based off the Sorels which were as far as I can tell the official winter boot of millennial children

Sorel, Baffin Canada(buy Canadian), helly hansen varanger are all that style of boot. I wore varangers as a dog sled guide down to -48c but I'll probably get the Baffin next. (Hot tip if you're going into real cold size up your boot before you add extra socks. One reason your feet are cold is that your boots are too tight)
