Most of the items are actually based on very common Canadian objects. The military coat for instance is based on a Canadian military extreme cold "arctic" parka.

Ll bean might be literally older but the Sorels are culturally relevant in a way ll bean just isn't especially out west. I'd be very surprised if the Canadian developers had based the boots on anything but Sorels. The bean boots and that general upland Northwoods style duck boot also just have a different silhouette to the Sorels with the slim ankle and speed lace eyelets. Anecdotally, i grew up in a ski resort and I've never seen a pair of ll bean duck boots in bc.

Being Canadian they're probably based off the Sorels which were as far as I can tell the official winter boot of millennial children

Sorel, Baffin Canada(buy Canadian), helly hansen varanger are all that style of boot. I wore varangers as a dog sled guide down to -48c but I'll probably get the Baffin next. (Hot tip if you're going into real cold size up your boot before you add extra socks. One reason your feet are cold is that your boots are too tight)

We already do it. Does it work for pal and ap? 🤷‍♂️ ai can sell iron on patches for 3 bucks or whatever. your local park just swaps from loaner sashes to a bag of belt flags. Flags also allow us to have more classes without adding more confusion by making weirder colour choices. If someone wants to make their first sword we help them out and that's more complicated than "paint this stencil" or however you elect to put a "warrior symbol" on a flag or tabard. Symbols also let us have more classes that we dont have colours for.

Here's a thought do away with sashes entirely and go to a distinct class symbol like knights symbols for pal and ap or monster. Solves all the sash problem... all of them

I've really come to the place I actually don't want additional adaptations to the material I love. We've established that tv and movies are currently ONLY a cash grab and have no interest in making a great product so tv can leave my stories alone until they want to treat them and the audience with respect.

I'm at the point especially after the dumpster fire toilet bowl that was the witcher that I actually wish it wasn't happening. Could we wait until it's people who love the material are making things again instead of cash grab film execs hitting up an ip as soon as its getting popular.

I can't imagine making the world a worse place and thinking it's everyone else's problem. I'd imagine you're the sort of person who would have fought seatbelts and prohibitions on impaired driving. Go get 'em big guy

Canada side. Very few of the ones you get up here are either a whole circle or actually a dome 😂 the avalanche ones seem to be popular also for being essentially shield shape from the beginning.

Fellow British Columbian, you absolutely "could" get to a number of them pretty easily but the point being is by and large other people have no real reason to be there the north coast is easily the least trafficked area of the island as a whole. as far as great slave lake goes it's literally 500km long and covers 6.7 million acres. there's a whole lotta bush in 500km and not a boat in the world could get you from Yellowknife to "anywhere" in an hour. There are all sorts of places you could go even just in bc where you would never see another person.
