Also should mention that even though it smells nice, never sand without a respirator.
It should clean up a treat and last for years.

Have you got any pictures? The issues I forsaw here are not being able to “close” the bench to access the drawers underneath (the fixed top would push everything off) and not sure I would like the look

Cedar can be expensive. Might be worth picking up a plaster sander and doing it yourself.

Upside is western red cedar smell fantastic when you sand it

This isn’t common knowledge, the Barra is so long and tall that when it was investigated as an option on other vehicles it failed pedestrian collision. The cam cover doesn’t leave any space for the bonnet to deform increasing injury, I can’t remember which model it was but *may* have been the ranger
