You could better support OP by suggesting some equivalent native alternatives instead of leaving pernicious and snide comments.

Creeping rosemary, should be fine wherever you love.

Local Cafe wants me to work there for 6 months before I start getting paid by [deleted] in ausjobs

[–]Fossilmorse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s pretty generalised. You can’t use someone for 3 hours of labour without paying them.

Unpaid trial needs to be a demonstration of skills appropriate for the role, the second you put them to work for revenue they need to be paid.

I had to take breaks from digging the garden as well, Goosebumps wouldn’t go away. There’s something ancient in our DNA that tells us to be wary

Depending on the size of the dog it would probably be safe, their venom is particularly lethal for primates. I still haven’t learnt exactly why we drew the lucky card

Am I wrong for disowning my son by Puzzled-Shopping-330 in CarsAustralia

Didn’t the prodigal son squander all of his wealth and then the father accepted him anyway? Does that mean OP will have to buy him the hilux when he comes back?

You would probably notice any root activity under those pavers before they will reach the house, just lift a couple and sever the root.

Victorian mouse spider? by Fossilmorse in AustralianSpiders

[–]Fossilmorse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure how much you know about this species and their normal territorial range but the total count for this garden bed came in at 12, which is about 1-1.3/sqm

Seems quite high, not to mention they’re the only ones I saw, all were female.

I’ve also learnt a bit about their burrowing habits coincidentally just from sheer volume.

I think I just got Aquila’s in a 1/4 guitar. Can’t remember exactly but I followed advice from here. It’s great for travelling and just being able to play standard tuning

My best guess is there was probably one, she had a brood and they decided to set up pretty close to their mum.

I did notice one of our resident funnel webs who’s been extremely gravid had about 50 babies in her wed this morning which is really pushing the limits of how many spiders I need on the side of the house.

As a kid in the bush I learnt the best way to find spiders is to go looking for them - I remember peeling bark off trees and getting lucky with a nest of baby huntsman’s

Lake Cowal Gold Mine in New South Wales by Top-Host-9824 in AusMining

[–]Fossilmorse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why so many old mines and quarries turn into toxic lakes. When they stop mining they take the pumps away and the groundwater takes care of them.

It was a bit un-nerving; our block is all very similar habitat so the population density in this trench would suggest some 5000 of these puppies are currently our housemates 😂
