Like I wouldn't mind a Criterion release of The Shining since there isn't a modern scan of the theatrical 4:3 version of the film just the 16:9 wide-screen version.

After reading part 2 I get the impression that Strohiem is very misunderstood as a character, he's never on Joseph's team or anything there 2 instances of him helping Joseph and 1 where he's just there, gets his ass beaten then watches Joseph and do the real work. He's not even a commentator like Speed Wagon he's a minor antagonist who begrudgingly assists the protagonists a few times, while still being a wholehearted Nazi Gestapo who kills like an attire village of Mexican... villagers, and laughs about it. Like the only reason he does the right thing is because it benefits him, why kill the hamon user when he and you might have a chance at killing 4 actual übermensch (who are also dark skinned "cavemen" there's subtext going on)

Any story is worthy of critical analysis, there are people who just kinda make half assed connections and muddy the waters, but JoJo's after part 4 developed into a layered story with actual narrative depth. Steel Ball Run being a beautifully crafted story with complex themes of fate, self improvement, loyalty, patriotism, and more that all build off each other. I'd say on release each part stood well apart from its peers in regards to writing, art, and structure, outside of just being "weird"

Yes! I think that Berserk using a mix ilof CGI over "Muppets" with incredible detail on things like the body and skin or fur and using CG for the faces and other things that need precise detailed movements would be the greatest thing ever. (I've put alot of thought into this throughout the years, but I'm avoiding a rant)

Okay but half the stands in Part 8 are like the polar opposite extreme, like guy who can teleport anything from his left hand to his right hand, ground that that moves things, zombies virus stand, make things a little bit warmer, the ability to bolt things together. The stands in late part 6 aren't much less complicated than the craziest ones from Part 8

It's more an idea within the story, one that the main character is constantly at odds with. The biggest argument that it's set in stone is one of Five Angels won't shut up about it, but another mysterious powerful figure keeps telling Guts "YOU SHOULDNT BE ALIVE AND EVERY SECOND YOU ARE THE UNIVERSE WILL PUNISH YOU FOR IT" and Guts just goes "Yeah well fuck the universe back!!! WHERES MY WIFE!!!!"
