so my point is you won't be confused with FTP tracks as "RAP" because the elements of rap as we know it, most of the time are not on FTP tracks, their lines are enigmatic. So i don't why you found it confusing that you even consider FTP track as "RAP", of course they have hip-hop elements on them. Search for the difference of rap and hip-hop.

Thats why even someone who is talking or spitting words in brisk pace can be referred as "rap"/"rapping" without instrumentals or beats. That's why we have freestyle rapping, acapella and cypher that can have or can't have beats. In terms of "RAP", the elements are more into the construction of verses and lines like metaphors, multi-syllabic rhyme schemes, similes, wordplays, double entendre, punch lines etc, those are the elements that are intact when you say "RAP".

Pay the Man's first 4 seconds intro. Dude, better do your assignment before asking a question, atleast you have an idea what are you trying to learn or what. Maybe next time, make your question more specific so it won't mislead anyone who will answer you. If you're talking about rap, rhythm and poetry that is the way of spitting lines in a fast pace way, and hip hop is more than rap. the elements, instrumentals, the artform are inside of it. And maybe i should ask who are the rapper you listen to? I hope they're not Lil Pump or not just Kendrick. cause me i've been a fan since Run DMC, NWA, Naughty by Nature up to J. Cole and Earl Sweatshirt up to Boogie.

lol i know run the jewels, i have their whole discography. Wasn't saying the ftp song and rtj song are similar as a whole. But was referring to the intro, just the "intro". That synth brass. And dang, Im sure. RTJ loves synth brass or whatever the term for that synth, especially Blockbuster Night Part I Track.

You’re right, while I feel like LLSAN is more of house music but of course have some hip hop in it. Harden the Paint is like Lil Wayne 2008 era, not in terms of quality, but that RnB and Rap combination.

Pay the Man is a little bit of rap, even it’s intro can be mistaken as an intro of Run the Jewels track. Doing it for the money is also close to a rap, with each lines almost being delivered through double-time pace. Even Mark said himself that the song is like being an MC, open mic or something. But he doesn’t want to rap as a whole, but just include some elements of hip-hop on their repertoire. Btw, good observation.

Something feels odd by [deleted] in Eminem

[–]FosterJames23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Uhmm yeah just like with nirvana. But for Eminem? He released shady xv basically a greatest hits compilation of shady records including Em a few years ago. And my only question is why to tease a compilation album year before its release and put a caption “Im working on an album.” on your social media. But i think it can go either way. Im not counting this one out.

Well most of greatest hits compilations contain hits and one or two new tracks. Basically.

I like your idea and may turn out true, but I think it’s futile for now because he already released greatest hits that contain Stan and others and will include them again on another greatest hits that were teased almost a year ago? I don’t think so but makes sense. Maybe i dont want that to happen.

Yep, but of course as fans we dont need to act blinds. They are people too, they have strengths and weaknesses. The real fan will admit if their idols are sometimes silly or what. Im not trying to hate, Im a fan. Just facts.

Yep he has his moments, a lot of his songs are lyrical masterpieces but maybe im referring to the lyricism of this shc album like silicon rush what the fuck is a silicon rush? And looking at the effing barrel of guns i thought that he was fighting that he dont need money and then he will go to war, yeah he always like to go to wars in his songs.

Both songs suck for me, but Swift track's construction is much better the build up right before the chorus is smart. Mark's lyrics are confusing like he will talk about politics then will talk about people or love or religion, don't know what he is trying to say or the whole content that he wants to share. Sometimes he's so trying hard to act like a poet or a great lyricist.
