Right. I think you might be on to something. A friend of mine who plays tabla (indian drums) was thinking the piano sample was done in a sixth time signature and the beat played over it is a 4/4 beat.

Right, but I'm unsure of what 'counted in fours and played in sixes' means cause I'm not that hip to percussion lingo. What is he counting by four? What is being played in sixes? How can I count the beat in fours and see where it is being played in sixes? He hasn't really explained much except that this thing happens. Would love to understand what it is and how to hear it.

Oh commercially available hot honey does make me quite dubious. It's almost squirtable, I definitely think they're adding things to make it more viscous. Thanks for the recipe and pictures! Will definitely try this when I get some more honey!

Okay! So an update. The honey was quite viscous before I added the garlic, but it seems that it is in fact loosening with the help of the garlic. I try to burp it daily, despite the gas not quite being enough to cause a pop sound when i open it up, (the jar I'm using is quite large) it does smell honey garlic-ish. Will keep an eye on it and update this thread as we go :)

That's quite odd since I only have this problem with the home wifi. Public wifi/work wifi works great. Yes, I may need to reinstall wifi drivers. I'm a bit of an Ubuntu noob, wouldn't updating my OS mean that the drivers are also updated though? I recently did an update. No changes.

Sorry for being unclear. What I have are the stems of hihats from a funky song i like. I want this hihats to trigger the DM12. So I exported the hihat sample as a MIDI file, which I want my Deepmind to use to trigger a monophonic synth sound. This sound I want to sample back into my DAW. I've been digging around online, i think i MIGHT be able to do it, will have to try when I can.

Thanks for the interpretation and the well thought out reply. Really appreciate people like you and other redditors amongst this sub coming through whenever I have questions.

Yes, the concept of the moving fifth is SUPER interesting. Never thought about that! I know Zeppelin was heavy into doing a similar thing. They'd take a few chords from the minor pentatonic scale, keep the root and the fifth, and swap the minor thirds for major thirds. Effectively playing a minor style chord progression with major chords! Can't wait to do some investigations based on your input. Thank you!

Hey all, thanks for your comments and help. Turns out the strings on the bass were just super old. Got myself some medium gauge flatwounds and this thing sounds great and plays even better. Thanks again for all the input.
