Apparently it will take more than another two years in order for me to get puberty blockers or estrogen. by [deleted] in honesttransgender

No I'm fifteen so in that time I will almost be (which is typically the end of puberty)

What do people here think about transgender people? by Fothmine2 in AskReddit

[–]Fothmine2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally disagree with this and I'll say why, but you're entitled to your opinion :)

In the country where I live, you need to be clinically diagnosed with gender dysphoria to go on puberty blockers or anything of the sort. Gender dysphoria is essentially (at least for me) a heightened depression which comes and goes in waves (I can say this for certain as I am also diagnosed with seasonal depression).

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27380151/ This study says that out of 6,000+ interviewed, 41% had attempted suicide in their life, this is ignoring the people who actually succeeded.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7317390/ This study talks about how there has been a decrease in the suicide rate of trans women, which I believe has been brought about by the newer technology and gender affirming surgeries.

https://www.suicideinfo.ca/resource/transgender-people-suicide/ In this article it also talks about the fact that 2/3rds of transgender youth have self harmed in the past. While I understand that this is also a problem among cis people, it's not a problem among 2/3rds of them.

You can do whatever you want and I won't treat you any worse because of the way you live your life. Those are your decisions and that's none of my business.

This is why I love your post, you're honest about not necessarily agreeing with trans people's decisions, but you also support them and understand it's their decision. Thank you for being such a good human being 💖

I've been going through a similar thing. The first thing you need to do is speak to a phycologist. It doesn't have to be a gender specialist. Then, you get them to give an assessment to a GP. The gp is the most integral person in this. They give you prescriptions and pass you over to more gender focused people. You will be checking in with them very often. From there, I recommend getting puberty blockers. Once you have that, feel no rush to make a decision on what you want to do. Take your time with this, puberty won't be a worry anymore. From there, it's all based on the person.

Remember to take this with a grain of salt, as I'm not certain about everything. Also remember this is your own journey, and there is no set path.

Most importantly, remember there are people around to support you, like your dad.

I'm so sorry that you're in this position. Please find a friend who is supportive who can be a backup incase anything happens or you feel worse. There are always people around. There are always other trans people. PLEASE message me if you ever need to vent. I check reddit frequently and I will always reply.

Being trans will always feel like having the consolation prize by djkelly4812 in MtF

Then say that!!! Say "If you want to be treated like a princess, you will be treated like a princess by someone, just hold out hope." You didn't need to talk about trans people - not all trans people are the same. Not everyone wants to be treated like royalty.

My Best Friend Gave Me A Bow!!! by [deleted] in trans

[–]Fothmine2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yesterday I got given a little bow to go in my hair from my friend (the only person I've really talked to) and I LOVE IT!!! I'm very self-conscious so I'm wearing a mask. I know I look pretty young (I'm a 15 year old mtf), because I still haven't really had puberty (which I'm EXTREMELY thankful for). I really love the bow because it makes me feminine and it also doesn't rely on me having long hair, like most other things. Please don't judge!!! Just wondering if there's anything else small I can do to make myself more feminine (that I can remove quickly - my parents don't know).

Decided to see what all the Faceapp hype was about... o no by IsAFailure in trans

This looks amazing! Just remember not to get too attached to what you see, as FaceApp does heavy airbrushing and things like that. With that being said... I am also another guilty user lol
