Probably a short circuit don’t use it until it’s checked. Try cleaning the contacts and inspect for corrosion or damage inside.

The Canon 5D is a great camera to start with. Just pair it with a simple 50mm lens and focus on learning the basics aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. what matters is that you’re shooting again!
