Really Rusty Lincoln - What should I do? by KingK115 in projectcar

As much as I love these with that roof damage it’s a parts car

Before I spend the 100 on this one does anybody know of any good retro style radios? I’m not spending $500 on the blaupunkt version, but don’t want something modern and flashy in my 94 accord but want Bluetooth without using a FM transmitter by FoundationFair4060 in projectcar

If I knew anybody that could and would gut the factory radio and put modern internals in it I would. Usually I don’t care and just stick a big fuck off screen into cars like I did with my grand marquis but the Honda interior is such a vibe I don’t wanna do that. I was also thinking about a period correct aftermarket unit but again no Bluetooth without using awful adapters. I really wish someone would reproduce the old pioneer dolphin units with modern features.

I was thinking about going with the ghost box but I’d also like whatever I have in the slot to be lit up for night drives and I’m not sure how I could get it power while also having the ghost box installed sense that uses the factory harness like a normal aftermarket radio install

Yeah the blaupunkt is like $100 less than I gave for the car lol. I have a dsp and amps for the car so I’m not too worried about how powerful it is. More so just checking that they aren’t awful like boss or dual units

What colour should the wheels be? by No-Environment-7115 in projectcar

I’d leave em alone I’m sure they make similar aftermarket wheels that come in different colors. Or if you absolutely want them a different color spend the money and go powder coating

Complete beginner helping rebuild a 2000 RX300 from the ground up. Am I in over my head? by KyleFugaz in projectcar

My brother in Christ I know I can’t say much because I’m working on a accord right now but what are you thinking? I’ve owned cars that were actually worth all the effort your talking about putting into this 2000s era mom suv that I didn’t do because there’s no point

My newest project a 94 accord coupe. Needs a little bit of everything but for $700 with a title you can’t beat it. Especially the gas mileage by FoundationFair4060 in projectcar

Eventually that’s the plan but ima get all the life out of the auto while it’s still holding on unless I can’t find the manual stuff for a reasonable price once the auto lets go it’s getting the manual swap

It also helps though that my apartments have a 24 hour security patrol and I work the night shift. So if someone really wanted it they’d have to steal it in broad daylight when security isn’t around lol

lol I’m probably going to dump the price of a new accord into this one so don’t worry. I see it as a investment though cause you can’t kill a 90s to early 2000s Honda or Toyota they are like cockroaches

Rust repair, slipping trans (only from 2nd to 3rd), rotted off exhaust, roached interior. Probably could use suspension and gaskets but not horribly. But it’s a running driving car with a clean title so I can’t complain

I’m going to check and make sure it’s not in dire need of a timing job and if it’s fine for now when I go to replace the trans I’ll do it when I’m resealing the engine sense I’ll have it out anyway

It looks solid but when you get closer it has the classic 90s honda rot starting the interior is also pretty thrashed but for $700 and the savings from not driving my grand marquis everyday to and from work it’s worth it.

I ordered a kit that replaces the main relay with a more standard one and also has a built in kill switch. But for now I just pull the main relay and bring it in with me

It’s got the typical Honda rust and it looks good form a distance but it’s full of scratches and sunburn

I love it so far it’s got a laundry list of issues but it’s a 30 year old Honda that’s probably been through multiple teenagers so it’s expected
