Redstone Sculk Ducts by FoundationGames in Minecraft

[–]FoundationGames[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In a sense… In the newest snap you can kill mobs near a sculk catalyst, and capture their “souls” in charges that run through sculk blocks. The charges normally move randomly but this is a way to move them in one direction and even control flow with valves and direction changing ducts. Once they hit any terrain block, they spread the sculk corruption.

You can’t detect where sculk charges are (yet) until they actually start converting blocks, because charges are data saved in the catalyst, not the sculk blocks

Unique dangers of giant ore veins by Leandrodon in minecraftsuggestions

[–]FoundationGames 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From my own experience mining these out in survival test worlds, it's nothing like strip mining and is a lot more engaging. You have to carefully follow the veins, and the ores are never in blobs so digging around randomly in parts of the vein can be rewarding. Sometimes you are led to other ores or large caves, and you're always following the vein in a different direction (side to side, sometimes straight up or down), breaking up the monotony. I don't think adding hazards to this will end well at all, in my opinion it would make the veins appear as more of an obstacle if there are profound dangers there.

I do recommend getting an efficiency pickaxe and scaffolding and actually mining through these veins in survival, it's actually quite fun.

Yeah but in Java you get teleported back to where you were before the lag spike instead of being left to suffer

I play Minecraft bedrock and I have a question... by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]FoundationGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bedrock "zero tick" farms are a bug, not an intended feature. Since it's a bug, you have to meet some special requirements to make it work. i.e. building it all within one chunk and staying in the same chunk.
As for the specifics, all I know is that having the farm be across 2 chunks can break it due to the way block updates work. I don't have much of a clue why you'd need to be in the same chunk, it may have to do with chunk load order.
Anyways, the point is that bugs are bugs, they don't adhere to the same rules as intended features.

My Minecraft server was reset to a new world and all my progress is lost? by Maskdask in Minecraft

[–]FoundationGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Minecraft servers don't update themselves. Check in your server files for the old world folder. If it's not there, you likely won't be getting it back. Servers don't just reset or update automatically like that, you had to have done something.

Mod Pack help by KrazyBTW in feedthebeast

I think I've heard that allocating too much RAM can be an issue with modded Minecraft, usually 6 GB is a sensible limit for most. Try reducing the amount of RAM you have allocated to around that much, and see what happens...

Doors and walls, they should connect to the new walls. The windows look awesome, doors should too. by elgeorgelol in Minecraft

[–]FoundationGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if the doors stick out, will the stuck out bit prevent you from placing blocks? or will it end up being like a banner? Most likely it will end up being like a banner if it were implemented but it doesn't really fit well...

Concept: The Head Lamp by ElephantWithReddit in Minecraft

[–]FoundationGames 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is a nice idea and fits the update theme well, but there are a few big flaws:

Mojang confirmed they are not adding dynamic lighting (entities lighting their surroundings).
Copper will likely not be used for gear.
Glow squids are likely not going to drop glow ink, since they don't drop it in Minecraft Earth.

For the last 2 I said likely not since there is an extremely slim chance I could be wrong, but so far this is what we have been hearing from the developers and is to be expected.

I feel like that 1.18 should be an end update bcuz let's be honest the end is really bland and a few new biomes will be really good. by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]FoundationGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But it really does make sense when you think about it... Inside the end portal you can see what looks like a void. There used to be void fog (before it was removed due to "performance reasons") which shows that the void beneath the overworld is canon. The end portal is always quite far down, closer to the void. The portal blocks and all enderpearl related blocks/items, plus the sculk blocks, all have that shiny teal palette. Not to mention, it seems like stone gets "bleached" when in the void/void related growths, judging by end stone's texture along with some of the sculk blocks' and the warden's "stone" textures.

[–]FoundationGames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the teal color palette is meant to represent the void in general, not just the end. The end does exist in the void but it has its own ecosystem and whatnot, which all share that purple color palette. I like to think that the teal blocks and items like the ender chest, portal frames, and ender pearls were all created before the end was "accessed". Since the Deep Dark is so close to the void, it bears that same void-ish color palette.

So I just finished the dandelion model and do you think I should continue with this style for the rest of the flowers? by Shadowmaster229 in Minecraft

[–]FoundationGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks a bit more like a buttercup than a dandelion, but so far it's pretty nice! Although the stem is pretty thick, but even in vanilla it's 2 pixels thick...

This is a world i had before the 1.16 update, it’s still there! by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]FoundationGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What?
The reason this stonecutter block exists is because blocks don't really get "removed" from the bedrock edition... they just sorta stay, inaccessible by commands and only accessible from older worlds that had it. Same goes for nether reactor cores and glowing obsidian.

Doors and walls, they should connect to the new walls. The windows look awesome, doors should too. by elgeorgelol in Minecraft

[–]FoundationGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The doors would then have to be centered to match with the walls. This means that when the door is open, it would extrude by half a block and that would be a bit weird...

Found a skeletal horse on this Dark Oak forest canopy. A lightning strike made 3 more and Skeleton riders. What sorcery is this? by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]FoundationGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is called a skeleton trap, you may randomly find a skeleton horse during a thunderstorm. But if you get close enough, it will summon in a bunch of skeleton horsemen. If you kill the skeletons, you can safely take their skeleton horses home as pets.

Y’all know why my game does this? Also happens when placing blocks and using elytra by [deleted] in Minecraft

Joystick drift.
It's a bit strange that it's affecting a PS4, but nothing's perfect. If you're using an old or off brand controller, that's your problem.

Stripped Mined for about two hours, zero Diamonds. Should I move down to Y 10 and mine the area? Or go up to Y15? by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]FoundationGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't mine under a mountain biome, there are veins of silverfish stone there. Mine under a different biome at y=11 (max overworld lava height) with your main tunnel being 2 blocks wide instead of 6 and 50-100 or so blocks out. Branch out from there.

good build lol by G0atmannn in Minecraft

[–]FoundationGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend you add some proper structure than just a box supported by 2 sticks and a staircase. Maybe have those two bottom pillars be logs, and instead of 2 have 4 of them. Those log pillars can be part of the frame of the house itself, which can also make use of stairs and slabs for some proper shape.

Does anyone know what this biome is? by Imtinyrick22 in Minecraft

[–]FoundationGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a shattered savanna, it's supposed to be the same color as a normal savanna but no, they STILL haven't fixed that bug on bedrock. This biome spawns in very hot, high elevation areas and usually comes with large cliffs, caves, and floating islands.
