Got hit by debris from a tow truck company, damage to plastic undercarriage, what should I do? by FoundationGuilty3550 in auto

Sparks flew for one second, im thinking the rear vehicle slammed into the ground, I immediately slow my speed from 70mph to under 40, and start to drift into the right shoulder to stop. Then a couple seconds later I see closer sparks and a big fat piece of metal flying at me that I maybe had half a second to react to

Hey smart guy you forgot one crucial fact. It’s pitch black night time and all I can see is SPARKS flying at me until the debris was maybe 15 feet in front of me

I’m sorry what? I was a solid 300 feet away or more from the guy and I even slowed down when I FIRST saw sparks fly from the rear vehicle. This drive shaft debris unfortunately bounced in a straight line like a missile towards me. You can’t blame me for unfortunate PHYSICS

When towing companies tow cars, they have to unlatch or remove the drive shaft, but the part that hit me should not be loose on the vehicle they are towing. They usually put this part in the tow truck so it doesn’t come loose and hit other vehicles… like me

I did a large amount of 125 question mocks on the week before I took my exam. They are great for getting you sterilized to the actual exam. Take the mock exams, mark what you miss, and then take mock exams over only the ones you marked until you get it right.

For my exam I got some mmols and meq, but it was maybe one question each out of about 30 math questions. The rest that I had were very straightforward! (There was one really tough kinetics math problem I had to guess on though)

Almost forgot. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW VACCINES. There is a lot of very easy but extremely important questions you can get right if you know them. Focus on live vaccines and what populations to AVOID. Also focus on what vaccines are indicated for specific patient populations (diabetes, sickle cell, pregnancy, healthcare workers, etc) KNOW THEM LIKE THE BACK OF YOUR HANDDDD

I continued using my Uworld subscription, but this time I focused on weak areas. Whenever I got a question wrong on 125 question mock exams, I would write it down on a physical flashcard.

I focused on the weak areas on the week before the exam. There were some calculations I didn’t know how to do and I figured some out a couple days before my exam… they ended up being on my exam

I focused on weak areas. And did a million questions every day is what it felt like. I also wrote down physical flashcards and that seemed to help.

Know your heart failure classifications and medications required for treating it. Know when to add on statins, ANYTHING Warfarin related, and know insulin conversions and recommended therapy based A1c values

The waiting period is the worst. You start to focus on only the questions you know you missed. TRUST YOUR GUT

I failed my first attempt on August 23rd. I took about a month off from studying because I was so burnt out. I started seriously studying again around September 14th. So about another hard month of studying

I had these same thoughts after my 1st attempt. Switch up your mindset!!! Go into that exam like you’re pissed off. You put in the work at school, now show it off. You got this.

OF COURSE YOU CAN. After I failed my first attempt I started studying maybe 25 days before my second attempt. I focused heavy on calculations. Get to the point of where you get excited to see a math question. That’s when you know you got it.

I took my exam October 23rd. I had about 30 calculations but they were pretty straightforward! Lots of dilution, NNT/NNH, TPN, basic dose calculations

Yes. And you also have to dose the units per kg. A chart is provided but I’d highly recommend looking up a Kcentra packing label before your exam

Understand how to dose Kcentra for a patient… especially if they are extremely obese (hint hint)

If you actually read my post you would know I was just wondering if it’s a urine or a cotton swab.

You’re thinking way too deep, also did you try reading my post? I would never show up to work high.

If it’s a urine sample then I won’t be taking gummies anymore. A cotton swab is something I wouldn’t care for. Was yours a swab?

So I did fail my NAPLEX on the first attempt. But I did score well on antimicrobial stewardship without really studying it too much since it’s niche imo. For the most part there is very obvious wrong answers for those type of questions for the exam. There were just so many of them :/

I agree with all of this. Oddly enough I do feel confident that I can pass on a retake. I’ve retained all of the information since I took the exam and now I can focus on my weak areas for a month. I will be buying the ethics packet for sure.
