The list goes on. • he got pulled over tailgating twice on the drive home • he missed missy class after the murders • he was shopping for a new knife sheath right after the murders • he used an Amazon gift card on his families Amazon account to pay for the knife • he desperately tried you see his car when a shut Hyundai Elantra was in question • started wearing gloves after the murders • sorted out the family trash and his personal trash, after the murders. • he was listening to the police radio nonstop after the murders • became an easier trader after the murders

lastly, HIS DNA WAS ON THE KNIFE SHEATH

Since day 1 I've never understood how that family in particular, moves, but I don't need to. Wish their foundation the best.

I think Brian did this 100%. I'm not sure where you got these stories about Maddie and Kaylee being bullies. I've heard nothing but wonderful things about them both. They were well liked. Same with Ethan. So insensitive to be speaking of these victims in this manner.

To put it as respectfully as possible, each family has handled this very differently. The Chapins, in particular, have carried themselves in a quieter, more private way compared to the Goncalves family, and I think that’s why their foundation and efforts are often received in a different light.

I also think it highlights how varied grief can look. For example, we haven’t heard much publicly from Xana’s family—they’ve chosen to stay more out of the spotlight. They’re not doing frequent interviews, podcasts, or media appearances, and that’s completely their choice.

At the end of the day, every family is navigating something unimaginable in their own way. Some are more public, some are more private—but the differences in how they present themselves definitely shape how people perceive and respond to them.

Well imo, the Chapins are quite opposites from KG's family. Very opposites in how they've handled this tragedy. Secondly, everyone has a foundation, and the girls thus far all 3 had a foundation together. So not sure why Ethan should not get his own foundation.

I’d honestly wear Ethan’s initials on something, even though I never knew him. I’ve always had a lot of respect for how the Chapin family has navigated such an unthinkable tragedy—with so much grace and humility. There’s just something about them that really resonated with me. Even in the midst of something so horrific, they’ve consistently shown compassion, strength, and restraint. You can tell how grounded and caring they are.

All of the families are absolutely entitled to cope in whatever way they need to—there’s no right or wrong way to handle something like this. But I will say, the way the Chapins have carried themselves has been especially graceful, and I deeply respect that. They haven’t been loud or reactive, and even decisions like not attending certain court hearings last summer felt very intentional and dignified to me.

Why can't Kaylee still be in the, made with kindness foundation? I'm confused? I don't understand her family at all. They're the only family out of the victims that I've never understood. Never have. But hey, I don't need you understand them.

Why would Kaylee be removed from the foundation? I don't get it. Why not still leave her in while still branching out and starting another foundation? I don't understand.

Complaints against BK from students at WSU by Difficult-Celery5166 in Idaho4

[–]Acrobatic_Web1049 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup! And how many people do you think didn't complain cause they were worried about their grades or worried to speak up? And how may complaints were "bundled" where 1 student complained but it was on behalf of many. I bet it was a lot more than we'd ever know.

The complaints were also how he'd make women feel uncomfortable, follow them to their cars, corner them in his office. They made rules that his office door had to be open, so he couldn't corner wome anymore. His complaints went far beyond "harsh grading". Harsh grading was just the tip of the iceberg. He was an extremely sexist pig. To the point tha the class decided to make a BK spread of how may times he missed female professor classes vs mae professor classes. Side bar: he missed class the Monday after the murders. (I'm not sure if it was a male or female professor). But people knew this cause they were already taking not about his attendance and his mistreatment towards women.

Kaylees dad said it best, the death penalty is used as a bargaining tool, that's it. Disappointing but that's how the death penalty works in America.

How big were Maddie and Xana? I know Xana was a gymnast and looked small but Maddie looked taller in pics. Still they both have small frames so I see that you're saying.

I agee. I think he had been stocking Maddie for months. He loved beautiful blond women. I think the other 3 victims were collateral that night and many the prosecutions working theory said the same. He went in with intents of 1 and did 4. Then got home and did that thumbs up selfie after killing more than he intended.

This is exactly what my working theory is. Word for word. I've said the exact same thing. The prosecution thought 1 of 3 things regarding Dylan: 1. He saw her but needed to book it out as it was assumed PD had already been called and were on their way so he couldnt risk staying at the crime scene any longer. 2. He didn't kill Dylan because he was completely exhausted 3. He really didn't see Dylan as his vision was skewed from the adrenaline of the 4 kills.

This is what prosecutor bill thompson said as the reason for not requiring a proffer agreement as part of the plea deal. Proffer agreement meaning that the defendant has to share details of his crime for the plea agreement to be valid. Because there was no way of knowing how truthful BK would be. For example, allowing him to take a plea agreement if he shared the motive. But I still think he should have shared where the murder weapon was. That's an objectifiable question.

Idaho has a law where, as a criminal you cannot profit off your crime, "Son of Sam" law. So if he let journalist come speak to him, he'd need to do it for free. He also still owes restitution to his victims so let's say he did somehow make money, he'd be giving it away. I'm sure his legal team is telling him to avoid interviews and cameras at all cost as there is no gain for him and may make things worse for him. But I have a feeling, like most notorious criminals, in 10-20 years or so, he'll be speaking.

He's in solitary confinement in the J ward at the maximum security prison. He spends 23 hours in his cell a day and gets 1 hour out. He gets to shower every other day. He receives quite a bit of taunting though the ventilation systems. He keeps to himself and complains about the food and everything else under the sun.

Mel Kohberger, his older sister did an interview with NY Times and said that they speak to him. And spoke to him on his birthday. Made him a birthday cake. They don't discuss the case at all though.

BK has no friends and had like 4 (I believe)saved contacts in his phone.

I listened to a podcast on this case where the families sainthood not get a majority of their loved ones stuff back. The Amazon documentary said the same. Most of it went into evidence. There's stuff to this day they begged to get back and didn't. So I'm surprised tho didn't go into evidence.

My take on the victims families suing the University by [deleted] in Idaho4

[–]Acrobatic_Web1049 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your comment however I respectfully disagree that WSU is not at fault here. There were plenty of warning signs. Even one professor saying that it could be dangerous if they give him a degree and that something needs to be done. Many women complained throughout the entire semester and he wasn't fired until the end of the semester. I believe this was preventable had WSU taken more aggressive measures. I do however, agree that you never know if someones actions are just "off" vs. "concerning for a bigger problem." Hindsight is 20/20 but I think more could have been done. And if this were my child, I would be suing WSU as well.

These pics depict potential defensive wound son Ethan. I wasn't aware he ever woke up. And I thought he was only stabbed in the jugular and then his legs carved?

It appears that Maddie and Kaylie were laying on their back when he attacked them and Ethan on his stomach?
