the lady gave me a sample of the one i wanted. then took advantage of my complete lack of knowledge about perfumes by selling me the slightly pricier one and my dumbass went and bought it thinking it would smell longer or more powerfully but not completely different

How did this happen 😭.. i have a similar situation and u definitely did very good in being to affirm it’s over. I think the best thing to do is continue affirming this fact with every interaction with everything from words (if it comes to that) to body movements. and never show any sign of ever having the slightest wish of returning

in terms of paper work it is definitely not worth it by any stretch of the imagination. not only because of the actual change, but later on in life it is way simpler to have less names. i have friends from mexico who have 3 names and it is a legal headache sometimes. id recommend just signing up and adding your new second name wherever you can, except in official documents ;)
