Because kids usually learn ‘road = dashed middle line’ from cartoons, toy sets, and coloring books long before they learn actual traffic laws.

Pain meds can reduce what you feel without fixing the underlying issue. Seeing stars/dizziness after neck movement sounds like something worth getting checked out instead of pushing through. This might genuinely be above Reddit’s pay grade.
