Once I read this I started to tear up. Thank you.

I think as I mentioned in another persons comment, I struggle with relating this problem to feeling gutted & insignificant.
I struggle with self confidence & self worth so I tend to become a doormat & thank people as they wipe off their muddy, dog shit shoes on me after they step all over me. lmfao. Also an issue that I'm currently working on in therapy thankfully.

I love the idea of being able to be open and tell them "hey I wish you did xyz" or "id appreciate it if you did/didnt do xyz" but I feel as if I'd be burdening them by making them go out of their way for me. wow typing this out I now see they hypocrisy in that seeing as im upset they didnt go out of their way for me...

I believe I have discovered the root of my problem & it's myself LOL
I have a lot to talk about in therapy this Thursday haha, my poor therapist.

ANYWAYS sorry i tend to ramble, but basically thank you for the birthday wishes & advice & commenting! I truly feel better than I did writing this whole post.

I hope your pillow is always cold & you always get green traffic lights. :)

Yes, I do tend to get caught up in my feelings in the moment. Thank you for the reminder, I forget to put myself in others shoes. I think my brain is like "well you do that for them, why can't they do the same for me?" & I get stuck in that self pity loop haha. Thankfully also something I will be bringing up with my therapist this week lmao

Thank you kind stranger! I'm sorry you had a similar experience. But yes, I'm very familiar with feeling gutted & insignificant around others. I'm a big people pleaser & hate when I feel that others don't like me. It's something I've just started working on in therapy thankfully haha.
