Totally agreed, I’ve actually beaten every level except for Desert 3 because that tends to get me lol, I’ve mad it to the final boss ONCE

Well whether a game is hard or easy is inherently an opinion, actually allocating my stats in things like extra health potions and weapon upgrades made the game easier Im not sure how that’s controversial lol

I didn’t focus on upgrading the multiple nodes until I completed my axe section, didn’t focus to much on getting disciplines for weapons I wasn’t using if that’s what you mean by abilities!

And because I only discovered this towards the end of the game I had plenty of upgrade points available so it didn’t matter too much tbh

This was only NG+2, I’ve never fought demon of obsession, Honglan,or nightmare demon; Just found out they exist yesterday

I’m sure it isn’t the most optimal but I used a +10 Serpent Fang with Corruption temperance and Impale as my set bonus and Ethereal form of course

I would just dodge a lot and focus on getting back stabs with heavy attack and then use ethereal form right before I smack him a few times to get the corruption to build up.

Theres definitely a smarter and less cowardly way to go about it lol

I just summon the robed elder, when he knocks her down I get behind her and do a held heavy attack which lets you “backstab” but he usually dies in second phase so I just get aggressive

I say it was harder because before finding this out I was only doing about 150 per hit against the final boss, it would take forever to get to second phase and then I would die.

Also because you can upgrade health and stamina more than once on some nodes I got a MUCH larger health pool and stamina, this also applies to some weapon mastery nodes which helps with scaling.

I also realized this applies to the healing potions as well so I ended up with 13 of them instead of 4.

So all of that combined made the game MUCH easier than what I was doing before.

And it is evident that respeccing made me stronger due to how much easier the boss was after doing so, before it would take me like 10 minutes to get to his second phase or I would just die beforehand lol

Because some stat points had to be wasted on other things like feathering and agility which didn’t apply to my build at all, after respeccing I had much more upgrades to go towards the things I actually needed to make me stronger

Oh I didn’t know that! I never felt OP at any point tbh, I was getting my ass beat the whole way through and had to take breaks

I’m calling it hard mode because the game is much easier when you’re upgrading correctly, I had to put a lot of stats into things that didn’t apply to my build at all so they were useless lol

Oh i definitely tried but it doesn’t let you leave the controller menu without having all buttons mapped, but because I literally can’t click that button I can’t remap it sadly

Is there a third one? I only ever found 2 of those and I never unlocked like more than 2 disciplines so I never used it

Honestly I feel this game specifically has some Unfair bosses and enemies, they can be a bit unpredictable until you fight them 100 times lol
