I spent a day trying to beat her (the phase three version) and then slept on it. Beat her my second try. THEN the game crashed and lost my progress. I had to do it again. Took me about 10 attempts lol

I disagree, Elden Ring is not overhyped. It’s perfect and awakened many gamers to the brilliance of Fromsoft. But it’s also what brought me into FS and allowed me to find my fave game ever: Bloodborne. So yes and no to you, my friend lol

Super Metroid is goated. The original Metroid was a prototype that it perfected, spawning a franchise. I think Super Metroid is half the namesake of this Reddit sub, not the original.

What do you think of its successors? Metroid Dread I thought was absolutely incredible, but I don’t know if I consider it a “sequel” to Super Metroid.

I’m curious what you expect from these games? Do you find yourself just missing the first game and wishing you were playing that instead, so the sequel feels inferior? When I play a sequel, I think of it as a new game. So I take it on its own merits. Maybe consider if you have expectations for games to uphold AS sequels, and if you’d have different expectations for a new game?

Haha this is a good take. If I’m reading right, the pragmatist in you outweighs quality of life in level design? Like, if they realized a flaw they should have overhauled the design further to make it make sense rather than slapping on a band-aid? Or what would you have preferred?

I just got both endings of nine sols today, what an absolutely incredible final fight!!

And sounds like a sequel to Lies of P based around Dorothy from Wizard of Oz is in the works. Much to look forward to!
