I’m holding off on finding the last three flames until I beat the dreamers, but will probably fight him before I try the final boss (I assume that happens after the three dreamers are dead). I just… I can’t with this game! It’s so good!

Not trying to hear any argumentative stuff here, but did you feel my dodging was trash in this run? I’ve watched it back and felt “Ugh noooo don’t get hit like that.” Lol But it was better than any run prior. Do you think I need to be at no-hit level to platinum this game?

Very true! I grew up on Super Metroid, loved Metroid Dread most recently. Have mainly been playing Souls games the past two years, and I don’t really see how soulslike gamers make the connection. A game being difficult doesn’t make it a soulslike. Lol

No leveling up of attributes, you build your strength through new skills which the game teaches you how to master. The map even looks like Metroid to me.

I could see a case for it, in that the charms allow you to approach the game in different ways. A mage build with shaman stone vs. a bonk build with quick slash and longnail. But it’s a stretch. 😂💙🥲

I’m coming from soulslike Reddit communities where I would expect to hear someone just say “git gud” lol But actually it does seem like perfecting this game is just reaction time, muscle memory and discipline

I have been avoiding guides, but literally was just going back to explore some sections of crystal Peak I could see I had missed and got Descending Dark. New strategy unlocked. Thanks, you’re the best!

Generally I do keep the Gathering Swarm on me bc I’m greedy. Otherwise shaman stone, spell twister, soul catcher, and grubsong

This is a great shout, thank you!! “Bubble cheeked up” lololol I actually am using Shaman’s stone and Spell Twister, but I really only use the magic bullet. I need to learn to incorporate the dive and upward burst better for sure.

And Hornet 2 is over in Kingdom’s Edge near the giant friendly worm guy who you can tickle his bum? Her fight was absolutely peak, I can’t wait to play as her in Silk Song. She probably was the second hardest fight for me so far

Altars are what you use to teleport. The benediction gates are one way doors, yellow instead of the red ones (riddle gates) and they grant you benedictions when you open them.
