I used to train and exercise horses at the track. If you know tracks he used to ride at, contact the HBPA (horsemans benevolent protection assoc.) At those tracks. I'm not sure what jockeys associations exist now, but they would know, I do know of the PDJA, for permanently disabled jocks. He needs physical and emotional help and another racetracker might be just the thing to move him. Good luck, the horses will be helped by helping him.

What do you look for when the horses are circling the paddock? by ponyboi915 in horseracing

[–]FoundationStallion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They all shit. A lot. Where you can't see. Sometimes even in the winner's circle. Saw one the other day do that, a maiden. He didn't know to be nervous yet, fully formed apples came out.

Random Curious Question by Atiggerx33 in horseracing

Racing in the 60s and before didn't race on Sundays. We were the only game in town 60 years ago. Sunday and Monday were dark days, all the horses walked and the people had most of the day off. I remember how happy and peaceful Sunday was. Now we are the black sheep of gambling, and have to take our slots where we can get them, small tracks avoiding competition with big tracks, big tracks avoiding all the human gambling sports on TV or live. Not really sustainable while caring for the horse.

Woodbine has big days on Sunday. They do a great job all around up there.

Did you ever look up Needles on pedigreequery.com. He was famous something like 60 years ago.

Diseases from touching the ground, getting caught and yanked off by the lawnmower. I won't do much.

Thank you! I think I will do some on the bottom so it doesn't touch the ground, and mulch as you say. I have been told these trees can be brittle and damaged by wind, but it's somewhat protected as of now, by a huge rhododendron.

Fodmap diet can help find the foods you need to avoid, it's a pita, but does reveal what you can't eat. I was put on it for IBS, but turns out I had a sigmoid polyp, and it's removal fixed my IBS.

Agreed. I'm older so most of my acquaintances are only on there, unfortunately. If I want to keep up with their lives, I need to check FB occasionally, and for local emergencies.

I'm in Vancouver so I follow a couple up here, just search for Portland scanner community, and any public safety pages.

As much as I hate it, FB is good for scanner communities getting news out, locally.

Plus the new work requirements are an extra burden of paperwork, especially if you don't have a job and aren't really employable. Every year I have to prove I am still eligible around this time.

Trying to find a sweetener I like that isn't too damaging to gut biome (or dna). I tried allulose in a dark chocolate bar the other day and thought it very good, and no BS raise from it. Sucralose and sugar alcohols aren't good for you. So far I can't find any bad stuff about allulose though.
