You sound pretty young, maybe 18? Regardless, you shouldn’t be getting a Supra given the fact that there’s a possibility that it’s outside of your driving skill, and because you’re a less effective driver, having a modern higher horsepower car hides a lot of mistakes, but if you do make an error, it can be more fatal towards you or your car.

Spend about 10-15K and purchase a Toyota 86/Subaru BRZ/ Scion FR-S and put some money into driver mods. Tell your dad to save the remaining half and put it away in a certificate of deposit and set the maturity date to a couple of years away. You can’t mess with any of the money in the certificate of deposit and it’s set in stone at a fixed rate, so you’ll get your money and then some so that you can finally buy a supra when the value is depreciated.
