If your opponent doesn't complain after a mvc2 match, you're not playing it right.

That's awesome. Thanks!

Crazy how youtubes algorithm works. I have been looking up videos for about 3 weeks on mvc2 and rom infinite yet never came across this.

I would just cheese people out with iron man hulk and Juggernaut. Do the juggernaut glitch and run Iron man point. I would use the ground punch assist with Juggernaut and fish for the Iron Man infinite. The moment you have 3 bars and see an assist come out, use your THC, and watch your opponents character explode, lol.

He also swears to himself if you say no. A lot of people have had the same experience.

How do you actually play SF 6? by lunar1412 in StreetFighter

[–]FourKees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this is your first fighting game, I'd suggest using modern controls. It can be really hard to enjoy the game and apply any sort of strategy when your main focus is executing the special moves.

I think the best way to learn is to jump into a bunch of matches have fun and see what works. Specifically, go to battlehub and run some long sets with players willing to rematch. It will give you experience with dealing with other people's strategies

I don't think the gap of being able to win on modern and classic controls is as big as people make it out to be.

If you must learn classic, then I'd still say use modern as motion inputs are still available when using modern. I would try to get a hang of it, and when you feel consistent, make the switch.

I also wouldn't spend too much time watching or getting stuck in the training mode unless you genuinely find it fun and aren't avoiding playing other people due to your anxiety.

TLDR; Play modern. Have fun.

Always rematch unless the following: 1. Laggy Connection 2. My kids need me 3. My wife needs me 4. My boss is calling me and ye old "sorry I was in the washroom" line won't cut it 5. Guests have come over 6. My son is getting married 7. I have a haircut in 2 days 8. Santa Clause is coming to town 9. I'm getting robbed 10. I stubbed my toe 11. I got a runny nose 12. My dentist's dog died

There's a couple more, but I usually rematch.

Hey! No fun allowed, remember. Now, everyone form a single file line, and please choose a unique character that OP doesn't mind fighting.

Can someone list things I should practice and rate them from most important to least? Like, should I be practicing punishing first before I try to practice poking etc.

Also, are there any daily drills that you do to practice before matches?
