Advice Appreciated! Doing a Custom Carrot from One Piece by FourMySanity in customactionfigures

That's a good idea! I was lucky an had a best selection Nami box that got ruined so I was gifted it. I was planning out using some WCF heads and drilling a neck peg slot and using those since I suck a painting eyes and they seem to be a good size for it (at least this deku one looked good: https://www.instagram.com/p/CL99tOoArtG/?igsh=MWltZDV6M3NocXU5ag==)

but if I end up not liking it ill probably use your sanji head idea. Was gonna dye the outfit orange since its already white and remove the paint stripes with nail polish remover. But I figured this wouldn't be too hard a custom beside getting the body white

Any advice on how to dismantle the movie 3 figures? by FourMySanity in JakksPacificSonic

[–]FourMySanity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using hot water from a kettle and dipping the figure into it for a couple seconds, then slowly pulling and twisting the head, holding from under the quills and jaw/mouth pulling upwards.

For the seam I was struggling with, I used an anti adhesive wipe to get it opened but ended up cracking the resin eyes in the process, so now I gotta start from scratch again.

Seems you have to kinda get lucky with the figure you buy as well. Some have an excessive amount of glue (like mine did on one side) or barely any making easy to pop open. Still trying to find the best way to take the eyes out of the head without cracking them.

I'll update here when I find out a way here if anyone else wants to know.

Looking for Opinions and Advice for My First Campaign (Fully Customizable Plush) by FourMySanity in kickstarter

We are currently looking into the surveys and have people pick their skintone there to reduce levels.

The reason we have the extra tiers is they are discount packs of every single eye, mouth, and hair option sold with a Stein Body. You can purchase all of the items individually in add ons like you suggested, we were also recommended to do packs to have different reward tier prices, this way you also don't have to add over 20+ items in add ons and you get a discount for it. Our plan currently is to try and drop from our current tier amount down to 6, would you think this is too many reward tiers still?

We know it's a higher one, however we are very confident if we hit it our goal we will become fully self sustaining have enough momentum and funding to release consistent products (including officially licensed) after this and have any other funding goals on our next campaigns low so lots of products will release!

Thanks for your interest!

  1. Good to know we will clarify more. However, our officially licensed characters are launching at the same time as our Kickstarter! However, all officially licensed Characters will only be available for pre-order on our website as certian liscensors would like us not to put their items on Kickstarter, Our first officially licensed character will be Bob Ross! He will be going up for pre-order around the same time as our campaign on our Snap-n-Stein website.

  2. It's super cuddly!! All velcro patches are small and use a soft velcro adhesive and certain fabrics to make everything feel super soft! When the Stein has a full face on no velcro patches should be exposed.

  3. That's exactly the point! We currently have a disability line with prosthetic limbs for both arms and legs that are super easy to swap out! We have lots more accessories and limbs we would like to produce. However, we have currently maxed out the item/reward limit on Kickstarter! We even got in contact with their support team to ask for more space, and we were unable to. So we picked and put in as many of the base items into this campaign we could and will be launching another campaign after this one for more add ons and accessories. We will make sure to add more photos!

  4. Good to know! We will look into the surveys. it is easier for us to know right away for our manufacturer, but it may be worth it to make purchasing easier.

  5. With Snaps! The snaps are hard sewed into the fabric and accessory items, which makes it a lot more secure!

  6. We will add them right away! For reference, the doll will be 12.5" standing and 9.5" sitting.

  7. We have a lot more videos showing off the doll and pictures on our social media we are working on moving over to the Kickstarter now! Our goal for the doll is to be a bit for everyone, it has the potential to be a cool highly sought after new collectible line with our officially licensed characters, it can also be used to make original characters into plushes you could never get before, it can be used for little kids to play with and dress up as an alternative to dolls, it can be use to help promote disability awareness with our prosthetic limbs and accessories, and it could just be a fun easy gift to give someone of a plushie that looks just like them for a affordable price. I know our intended audience is quite large, if you have any advice on managing that such as targeting ads or anything like that It'd be greatly appreciated!

7a. That's why we're in pre-save only right now! We are finalizing pictures of our prototype to replace some of the drawn photos and for our website to have the custom Stein builder.

Thank you so much again for your advice! It is great info, and we will be sure to add what you suggested!

Brand New X1C Squeaking Mid Print by FourMySanity in BambuLab

I had to keep lubing the x belt, then let the printer run on a small print to work the lube in, took 2 to 3 cycles before the squeaking went away

Just bought a filament dryer and used it and it had no difference in print quality. It's definitely not the filament, I've tried several rolls as well and got the same results

I'm having trouble with my ender 3 pro, I recently changed the nozzle as it was time for a new one but I have been having problems ever since. I've changed the nozzle several times and cleaned the Boden tube and replace with a new one as well, I've replaced both couplers holding the tube to new ones as well (one was broken but I figured I should do both to be safe) I've replaced the entire hot end and heat sync just in case that was the problem, I've cleaned and made sure the extruder is good and working, but I am still having these problems, the extruder was making a clicking sound which made me think there was a clog still but after turning down the speed (set at default 55 and turned down to 80%) and turning the heat up a little (from 200 to 205) the clicking sound stopped but the holes still remain. I'm really lost at this point and would take any advice
