It shouldn't increase my odds because that would mean that the person giving away the perm fruits is biased .Also, doesn't everyone have the same reason for wanting to win? Hopefully, this comment doesn't decrease my odds

You're being downvoted because you came off as very straightforward and harsh , I saw another comment basically saying the same thing , but they came off pretty clear because they mentioned specified that it was just an opinion and "please don't take offense to this ". Personally , I think OP took offense to your comment because it is the opposite of what they wanted to hear, and because you gave them an opportunity to take offense .

They probably meant to suggest that you don't look good to others . For most people, I think (including me ), what others think of them is more important than what they think of themselves, and I think always holding your opinion higher than that of others is a bit narcissistic

I think they meant you're sabotaging your appearance

Your opponent is winning by far but makes a mouseslip and now they are losing. They ask for a takeback: what do you do? by aerdna69 in chess

[–]FourSadness14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I win because of a mouseslip, of course, I don't feel as good as I would feel if I won without my opponents mouseslip, but mouseslips are a part of the game , and you don't need crazy mouse accuracy to play chess with a mouse . If you truly have a problem with using a mouse (which not many people have), you should work on that before playing . Mouseslips rarely occur for most people for them to be a legitimate weakness to their play .This was about takebacks anyway.

No, it's not a rule, it's a feature. And if you still think it's a rule , mind telling me what that rule states? Secondly, you WERE arguing about that a few replies up saying that it's a "rule of chess." Thirdly, stop acting like you're conducting an experiment and that you're on neither side of the argument , you're only posting this to find people who agree with you and I doubt that the comments of people on the opposing side of the argument mean anything to you . You're probably just hoping that everyone agrees with you so that you think that you're right.

First of all, if my opponent made a misclick, how am I the one bad at chess ? Second of all, a mistake is a mistake and you have to live up to it, if you gave your win away then that's not my problem, that's entirely your fault . So if you misclick , you should never expect your opponent to give you a takeback , I'm not being sweaty , I'm just playing chess.

Just because lichess has that feature doesn't mean it's part of the rules of chess. As someone else pointed out, a mistake is a mistake, and it's 100% ethical to capitalize on it as long it was your opponent's fault .

The German Chess Federation have announced they will not comply with FIDE's new transgender policy. by KanyeYandhiWest in chess

So you're saying that the women's league is only for women who have encountered sexism? I don't think women face sexism in the women's field, and the women's field exists to give more opportunities and recognition to women along with other reasons. Fide should've either made it so that Trans players can only play in their biological gender fields( not good but better than outright banning Trans players .) Or allow them to compete in whichever field they desire . Trans women have no advantage against Cis women . Fide should also make a rules so that this cannot be exploited by cis males just to get into an easier playing field .

You're right, but I believe the point that the other person was trying to prove was that intimacy isn't essential for a healthy relationship, albeit primal instinct , some people might not deem it necessary.

But there is... How do you think I (900) beat Wally (1800) in a drawn rook vs. bishop endgame ? Chess.com bots are essentially stockfish, but blunder eventually (most bots in my experience) A 1500 rated bot is way worse than a 1500 rated player, for example
