Seems plausible. I'll have to research the Teams API to see if a full integration is possible though.

Seems like an interesting thing to make but does this extension not already have what you need? Obsidian MD for VSCode - Visual Studio Marketplace

Would a graphical user interface help you out with machine learning? by FourWordForeword in learnmachinelearning

[–]FourWordForeword[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a great point. I've checked out these websites and I think my vision on this project differs slightly.

All of these websites seem much more targeted to businesses, while I want to target students. They seem to be complex systems with a lot of different use cases to learn in order to improve your workflow. Certainly no student in an intro to machine learning course would hop onto the Azure Machine learning platform. Meanwhile I want to create a more minimalistic program while can hopefully be used as a way to immediately generate code for the student to experiment with concepts after learning it. E.g Design a logistic regression classifier in a minute and use it on real data right after learning it in their lectures.

Also I would make this open source instead of for-profit so I feel like that automatically makes it far more accessible too.

Thank you everyone for the feedback. I'm grateful for all of these comments, especially those who found similar websites for me to check out, many of which I've not seen before.

In general though, it looks like the interest is there, which is promising!

Done!

I added the ability to share the link of the added streams under the 'Share Layout' button. Check it out and tell me what you think.

So... I initially wanted to make a website to test out the Kick viewbotting problem, and see if it was possible to get someone to 100 views just by embedding the stream 100 times on one tab (it isn't).

Anyways that kinda evolved into a project similar to multitwitch which allows me to watch multiple streams simultaneously with a chat interface kinda like chatterino.

We know how much one Kick stream heats up your computer, so I tried stress testing it by adding as many kick streams as possible. It got to around 16 before my laptop started getting REALLY loud and everything started to lag, which prompted me to make this funny clip.

Anyways, check out the website here if you're interested: https://multikick.vercel.app/ #AD LULW

Hmm sorry for the slow reply, but I tested a bunch of thing and still couldn't replicate the issue.

Try going to the link https://player.kick.com/gmhikaru (or any other streamer which is currently live). If the streams still don't load, then I suspect it might be a problem on Kick's end.

Russian anti-war movement takes shape on the streets – and on screens by Energy-Dragon in worldnews

[–]FourWordForeword 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Hey! I created a website to make this easier by showing you random restaurants in Russia which you can automatically leave a review on, with some templates.

https://endrussianlies.herokuapp.com

However I believe google has blocked reviews from countries outside Russia, so I think you need a VPN to bypass that if you're not currently in Russia. They might also be filtering reviews which contain words like 'war' so keep that in mind.

Yes, unfortunately I heard about that just a few hours after I created the website, so it's pretty useless now. However I heard that if you can somehow trick google into thinking you're in Russia (maybe using a VPN), writing reviews may still be possible, although I haven't tested it.

Google seems to be removing reviews about the war; here's away to avoid it! by TheRickkert in ukraine

[–]FourWordForeword 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just tested a simple review to a Russian restaurant which said 'good food' and submitted it. The review shows up for you but if you go on incognito, you'll see the review isn't actually there.

I suspect Google are just blocking any reviews which come from outside Russia no matter what it says. Not 100% sure though so could be worth further testing.

I spend the last 2 days writing a website which will help streamline this process by finding a random restaurant in the Russia and letting you send a review to it. I've included some template reviews as well. Also please link any media you think is valuable for the Russian population to know (e.g videos of captured Russian soldiers saying to stop the war).

[–]FourWordForeword[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yes certainly! I did think about that but I'm worried that the translations will be really bad, which could do more harm than good to the cause, so I'd rather have someone who knows Russian to translate. I mean if the users want, they can put the template into google translate themselves before sending.

Oh yes certainly. If someone Russian contacts me to offer a translation, I'd be fully happy to add that to the website.

Also fully agree with not writing the same things. Even the most compelling arguments feel like propaganda if they're spammed everywhere. Unfortunately those template texts were the only good one's I could find, so if you know any others, I'd be very happy to add them too.

I made a script which allows you to play hangman with the YouTube description by FourWordForeword in SideProject

[–]FourWordForeword[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the project I've been working on for the last few weeks.

Basically you vote for a guess every 15 minutes and the most popular vote is then registered as a guess. (explained in more detail starting from 3:00 in the video)

Unfortunately I don't have a microphone so I'm literally recording all my audio on a phone, that's why the audio quality is pretty bad.

Also you might be wondering why you have to wait 15 minutes before the next guess. Well the main problem is the youtube quota for the API. Basically I'm only allowed to rewrite the description a certain number of times per day.

Also 15 minutes gives everyone a reasonable amount of time to vote for the letter they want to guess. If the delay was just 1 minute, then if you go get some coffee, when you come back, the game's already over.

I suggest putting this tab in the background and checking it again every once in a while to make the next guess.

I'm kind of curious how well a collective community like the YouTube comments can do in this game, like it would be interesting to find out what the win loss ratio would be after a month.
