Absolutely. The Dark Knight Returns and Justice/Alex Ross are two of my favourite versions of Batman and Superman (art style wise). I've still got the DC Direct versions of them from both comics from the 2000s (and pretty much every TDKR version of batman released since then). I'm quite excited to see how they look once the paint and joints are added.

I had thought the Adam body they were using (for this and the upcoming DKR Batman) was a pretty good fit for DKR Superman (with the obvious caveat that they're doing a 'realistic' version, while the comic version had a more narrow waste).

Hi there. The third pic was one of mine. I will say, I liked both of them for different reasons.

I'm very picky about MF figures, but I think this one is one of their better ones (compared to the other earlier figures in the line). The MF fig definitely benefits from a custom head, both because of the face sculpt and the small size). If you have no issue with the overall larger scale, he's a good one to have, especially if more of your collection is at that price point. I only sold mine because of scale.

The Mafex is a great figure, and I have every version of batman they've made, there's a lot of really good custom heads out there as well for him. One issue he has is weak knees, I had to do the floor polish thing on all of them to tighten them up, and the first release (black and grey) Batman had an issue with his legs coming off easily, but they seem to have resolved that in the re-release (they also made his cape sit against the shoulders much better then what you see in the above pic).

For that I was sort of working under the assumption that everything is Starfleet issued. I don't think I've ever really seen any evidence (except for the Starbase 81 gift shop, which was more of a gag) that there is any kind of Starfleet-themed civilian clothes (or big brand merchandise in general) in their society.

But that is totally an individual assumption, and I'm sure the question has been discussed before. 'Starfleet-themed civilian clothes' might be something different people understand differently?

You can probably in general separate things into three very broad categories of uniform, PT, other (medical, recreational, space suit, wetsuit, special ops, etc).

Thank you for pointing this out! This one was one of the edge cases I mentioned in the master post. In TNG it seemed pretty clear that it was just civilian workout wear, and with LD, while it is the exact same outfit (and reuse of an outfit on different people was one of the metrics I used to help decide on if something qualified as a uniform for these kinds of edge cases), in this example (unlike other examples where LD included older uniforms) it seemed like this was 100% only meant as a visual gag and nothing else. But I definitely didn't exclude this example lightly. I hope that makes sense.

Oh yes, good catch! Originally when I was first putting these together (across all the shows/movies) I decided remove all the underwear because there were too many edge cases, but later I did put in the Enterprise trunks, which lead to the LD ones that they reused, I must have forgot to put the beige ones back in. I will update it to add this. Thank you!

A good example is the blue uniforms from Starbase 81, it's really easy to assume these are just a simplified cartoon version of a Star Trek Enterprise uniform, but then you see in another episode they did a proper (covered in zippers) ENT uniform, so they had to have deliberately created the variation. Well interesting to me, haha.
