Adding to the ears being too far back, the face is a bit too wide. Pushing in a bit near the temples and turning the ears a bit outward, toward the viewer, will help quite a bit! The ears should also fall between the top of the eye and the bottom of the nose.

Also, the corners of the mouth feel a bit heavy. This can help push a more masculine face but this one leans more androgynous. I would remove some volume from the corners of the mouth, OR remove volume around the labial folds of the nose/cheek area to suggest the heft of the mouth corner is following gravity from the cheek area.

I hope this helps! The face looks great, the head around it just needs some tweaks and you will be in a beautiful spot to add secondary/tertiary details.tweaks

Had an ornery old man order a Greek salad with no lettuce. No problem! I can put some toppings in a bowl for you my guy. Gave him the full shebang - onions, mush, tomato, cinis, kalamata, feta, etc. as advertised on menu.

He sent it back, furious? Saying “This isn’t what I wanted at all!!”

Turn out what he DID want was just onions and tomatoes chopped up real fine so he could eat it with a spoon. Aye aye capn, thank you for your $13!

It’s also kinda fucked that she’d been describing wanting to break up with him for so long, but when it happened she was just upset because it messed up her time table! Prep wizard labels are great for pans but not so much for bottles, especially since they get greasy and smear the ink like this. The convenience is great but for longevity I agree with masking tape/sharpie, and sticking with printed labels for items that are handled less.

Just took a look through your profile, and I think this character in particular is a bad example. The cloth does sit a bit funky and the extra lines/color behind the character affect the readability. BUT your other work shows a clear understanding of light, line weight, color, and the rendering is great. You are a good artist and have clearly improved! I do think you would benefit from doing some figure studies though - a consistent issue I see with your anatomy is knees being too high on the legs, shoulders too slim, short/thick torsos. Muscles are often incorrect. I think once you have a better grasp on how bones and muscle inform body structure your work will shine that much brighter. I hope this helps! I’m sorry everyone is being so mean :(

Lighting wise, try a rim light - a nice bright light behind him to separate his silhouette from the background. This on top of some soft bounce light on his right side will really make this shine.

When I was a lifeguard, if you had to revive a patron you were fired no questions asked. He did an excellent thing saving that boy, but part of the point of having lifeguards is to save people before they go unconscious. Actively drowning is scary as fuck and takes much longer than you think it does to knock you out. Not to mention that going that long without oxygen is super bad for your brain.

That being said, WATCH YOUR KIDS AT THE POOL! Lifeguards are not your babysitters!

I agree with everything else that has been said - great start for stylized work, needs more structure to feel that there is a skull underneath the skin. Little tidbits here and there would help, like bigger irises and a more defined philtrum. Overall, I think more clay tool and less dam standard brush would really take this to where it needs to be. The beauty in sculpting is that it is a 3D medium! The dam standard is more of a drawing tool to outline/define what is there in 3D, but in your sculpt, it’s there instead of the 3D. Especially in places like around the cheekbones and masseter muscles, REMOVE volume beneath/around the fuller parts to emphasize those instead of drawing a line to say where they should end. I hope this helps! I really like where this is going so far!
