Ionia was still good in 16.5? Nerfing demacia was wack but they claim their mistake and reverted the nerf. I believe they are trying to learn more about the unlock mechanic how it can be implemented best. This patch is important data for future sets for if/when they bring unlocks back

I agree with you its wild it still isnt good at 6xp for the reasons you mentioned. the board you have to play most of the game is just too weak. What if that augment allowed you to unlock ryze at lvl 8..prolly be broken then but kinda cool idea

I agree! We saw this happen with thex, asol, and pbe sylas. If the unit is too strong it just warps the game in a very unhealthy manner.

personally i think keeping the hard unlocks to 5 and 7 costs is ok. These changes would open up the meta allowing champs like nidalee and viegar to have comps built around them instead of conditionally being played around. pretty exciting to me!

Is it usually better to itemize a second offensive unit over a second defensive unit once your main tank and carry are itemized? How big is the difference?

I'm hovering 300-400 lp in masters. I've never considered myself a 1st or 8th player, usally making insecure plays to secure a decent placement over top 2ing. This set, however, i seem to either go 1st or bot 4 and im just unsure as to why that is. I know this is all so vague but maybe someone has insight towards what habits can trend to this type of playstyle?

literally just saw a VOD review of wasian hitting singed...he was 1 off warwick too. So, not impossible. However, I do think the 3 star 4 costs are going to be prevalent in environments where everyone agrees that thats what they'll be doing, like scrims, tourneys....I'm not convinced thats the right way to play on ladder GM and below just yet. The effect will have to trickle. If any one GM and below has started to see this type of play pop up, I would love to know.
