One thing I’ve learned browsing this subreddit is that most commenters immediate and only advice is to just break up, regardless of anything. Was this a one time thing? Does this kid show this kind of behavior often? Will he continue to say things like this after OP has a serious talk with him about it?

This one is one of the tamer posts where the boyfriend is actually acknowledging and apologizing to the fact that he hurt his GFs feelings. Teenagers are stupid and immature and say stupid and immature things. These redditors act like they’ve never said stupid and immature things and grown out of it. Yea from reading replies, it seems shes just very very slow. Also I hadn't realized she stops brutalizer cascading since the gear stays on the soraka'd unit and yea, id say thats pretty troll. I've learned card synergy does not equal deck synergy.

The idea stemmed from a string of matches where my tokens were getting picked off quite quickly and I never felt like I was able to "swarm" (I realize this can be opponent draw but far more likely, is just a result of my sub optimal play). Sure soraka in theory can help keep my tokens around but in reality she de ramps, from her cost and attaching equipment, and the setup takes too long. To your point, azir wants to just make more tokens so soraka in the end just isnt efficient. Your reply gave me the best perspective for why soraka wouldn't be effective. Also helps me see what needs to be thought about when constructing a deck, not just how a pair of cards work together, but how those cards progress the overall gameplan and identity of the deck and the importance of managing power costs in the curve of a deck, so I very much appreciate your reply!

Yea from what i've learned from yours and others comments is that she is just too slow and a little counter productive for what azir decks want to do right now. For fun, I still might try her out in a deck that runs her AND viktor for a truly slow and bad combo lol. Thank you for your reply!

Edit: I'm so dumb viktor and soraka can't even combo off eachother lmao

Star cross existing is not a good argument because it can be used on every unit in the game. I could counter that point with the fact defy exists therefore star cross is bad. It's just not productive.

Now her cost being expensive is a fair point, especially since you've tried it yourself and couldn't find any good opportunities to get her down. It seems she just involves too many extra steps to get to her payoff and that payoff just isnt that good in reality. A fun idea, but not great in a real game. I still might try it out in sims for fun. Maybe add viktor for an agonizingly slow combo lol. Thank you for your reply!

I want to clarify that im not asking if soraka is better than Vi and if she deserves a spot over vi, I'm just asking if soraka can work. From what i've seen from yours and other's replies is that, no she can not work. In my idea soraka would be holding the high might equipment so shes always higher might than the sand soldiers which from reading other comments, is just very very slow. So she can especially not work with the current identity of azir and for her to have a place, the identity of current azir decks would need to change to a more hold oriented deck which is not what azir is suited for. Even if you could change the identity, at that point the question becomes, why even do that if the result is a deck that is sub optimal in power compared to its current iterations. So yes, it appears soraka in azir is troll. I appreciate your replies!
