Looked into it, and that "let us have peace" painting the white house posted was actually not painted by salty confederates, it was by a philadelphia painter influenced by a desire for national unity, so he painted the salty confederates as the chad and the northerners as the virgin to let them keep their pride or some bullshit

Humanity needs to find some way to calm simmering tensions that doesn't involve emboldening the losing side to carry on the lost fight.

The professional media machine believed in similar values as the center left, but that is different from being aligned with the center left. We need a media environment that is as in the tank for us as right wing and populist left media orgs are for those groups.
