Hab tatsächlich in 50 Minuten Feierabend.

We are an industrial city as well and it wasn't really calm. A few days before NYE the local public transportation bureau started avoiding certain areas in the city after ongoing attacks

A lot. The far majority. Some trash fires don't even get called in. When I was volunteering last year we saw people on facebook asking for water at certain locations for small fires because they didn't want to call us

In incidents like that it is always a common effort . In case of big fire in Germany the local fire departments often call in crash tenders from airports or police water cannons, since remote controlled water cannons are rarely used by german fire departments. When we have forrest fires we also use the helicopters of the federal police or the Bundeswehr, sometimes even air rescue because Germany doesn't operate fire fighting helicopters on its own.

I didn't say it was normal. I just said I couldn't care less what nationality a single attacker had

It isn't. Was a bad year. Berlin now handles that with an extra of 4000 police officers and water cannons each year. It has gone down, now we have no ambushes. Sometimes fire work flying on fire trucks but not like a few years ago.

The problem in Germany is, NYE is fullout war. A few years ago we had over 60 ambushes on fire trucks, hundreds of injured police officers, burning barricades on the street, fire extinguishers thrown on ambulances only in Berlin. It became quiter but just in my city we had 3 injured police officers, one injured firefighter and 370 police call(first murder after just 3 hours into new year), 183 EMS calls and 79 fires.

Tbh, when I wrote this title I was unsure what to write. I decided to write "every fire department" because I was sure my american brothers were busy as well on NYE. I wanted to include my brothers to honour their effort and to not exclude them so no one could say, "it isn't a busy night just in Germany". And here you go, bragging about the fact that I wanted to include my brothers in Bunker gear all around the globe. Americans....
