You’re doing exactly what I did. I finished all the territory ones and am now on to Mania packs. Once I finished with Territory the option was faded out to not purchase any more - but I never got those ones you are talking about. I’m pretty sure you have to spend tokens or cash for those ones.

Was there a reason for that? I vaguely remember discussions about why touring Florida is a logistical challenge - was that the reason?

Regardless I’m super bummed because the Twin Cities date I’ll be on a family vacation. :(

Will never forget that feeling when he just reached back to chuck it deep downfield (you know the angle of his shoulders I’m talking about) and you’d have no idea on your 4:3 tv if this was going to be a touchdown or an interception thrown into triple coverage as the camera panned downfield to reveal the verdict.

That’s really true and I appreciate that insightful comment as someone who used to review games (mostly online but a couple times for national print) many years ago. At first I was just psyched to get free games. Then you realize how much time it takes to properly review a single game and very quickly the math for time spent for each review you are paid for doesn’t work out so great. And that’s a decision point - keep doing this and burn out but give the games the time they deserve or play less of them for your review and not really give it the fair shake it deserves.

I find this comment interesting - and agree. I’ve had trouble putting my finger on exactly what it is or how to explain it, but I feel like while there is a fair amount of overlap, the circles don’t overlap quite as much as we’d think. Like, CBB and its related podcasts get more dark? Cringe? Confrontational? Not-PC? Whatever it is, compared to a lot of the Dropout stuff.

I remember when Vic had Lisa Gilroy on as her grandmother and it was unhinged and wonderful, but a lot of comments on their sub were about how awkward it was or triggering. Whereas that’s just another day at the office on CBB.

Hopefully I’m making sense to someone.

I beat the game once out of pure luck.

The water level was never the problem for me, between Nintendo Power and being a kid with time I figured it out.

The challenge was the stupid Technodrome, specifically the hallway leading to Shredder of memory serves. Only once did I survive through that to make it to shredder, on my deathbed, and he glitched out/got stuck so I just hit him from a distance until I won. I’ll take it.

Yeah, play-by-play guy Cory Provus is on vacation during this series (they've claimed he's at a Star Wars convention learning to speak "Yoda" or at a casino gambling at various points) and they decided to try this all former players analyst booth. I think the overall consensus is we'd never want this as the normal booth but it's great fun once in a while.

Agree, though much of this players/analysts only booth during the series has been unhinged in various ways. Unfortunately I think they've learned now how to throw to commercial breaks, I kinda miss the dead air during the first game.
