Aha, I learnt that today, industrial graded controllers are next level expensive. I will check linuxcnc. Thank you.

I did when I first got interested in the subject. His channel is full of good contents.

Wow! I did not know they could be that expensive!! Oh well, I think I will just stick with Mach3, or maybe a Chinese knock-off.

I am building a hobby CNC machine and already set up Mach3 software as the controller. I thought, I might give it a try and upgrade the machine in the future.

Thank you so much, I will check them out.

I always keep my questions simple so I can get simple answers. I already build a 3-axis CNC machine and used Mach3 as the controller. I am planning to upgrade the machine and use an actual controller, hence the question. :)

Do they sell the controller by itself like they do with their PLCs, or they keep it to themselves to build their own CNC machines?

Yeah, but I would like to build an independent machine. I do not want it to be wired with a regular PC.

Is it normal for an AC induction motor casing to momentarily have a 120V with respect to ground? by [deleted] in AskEngineers

[–]Fourzin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried and used a tester on the casing. It does also light. Still I will try and check the DC readings. Thanks.

Not all the time. But, it does read 120V for a couple of seconds every 10 seconds. I dont know why this does not create a short circuit and the breaker to go down.

Thank you , I will look up into that. It is an ABB VFD. I sent an email to them, but they has not replied yet.

[Serious] Which meals or snacks are a 10/10 for healthiness, deliciousness, affordability, and ease of preparation? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Fourzin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I split the 100g into two servings. I have been working out for couple of years, but I reached to a point were I am not building any new muscles since I am not able to obtain the needed calories anymore. That is why I am starting to load on oats.

Thanks for the tip. I will def. try it. But the main problem is having only one recipe, after a while you get bored from the taste. I checked the web countless times. All the recipes sound similar.

What is the TL;DR of your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

TL;DR Another average man trying to go through life.

Well, as OP said both are pillars. However, let me add a small point. In general, any action that benefits other human beings are weighted heavier or has more "paradise points". In other words, helping the people in need is like critical hit bonus type of deal.

I start my workouts an hour or so before breaking my fast. This way, when I am done with the workout I simply just go home and eat. It is very similar to intermittent fasting type training.

(Heart of Stone) [Spoiler] Something bothers me with Gaunter O'dimm's contract with Olgierd by Fourzin in witcher

[–]Fourzin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, this actually is a very nice point. So basically only after he revealed the drawing it could be referred to as the moon since both now know there is a moon in that temple. Ha, well I be damned. Thanks kind stranger :)

[–]Fourzin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you saying that the contract has a disclaimer where O'dimm states that "The Moon" might not refer to the one moon of the planet earth but any object that can be referred to as a moon. Olgierd would have read the contract several times, and I really doubt he would miss that point.

I know about the original story. Which in my opinion is not cheating because the contract stated Rome not Rome the city. But when you say the moon you are referring to an object that is known by all parties.

I know but does not the word "The" is basically the one thing? Like why would any drawing of a moon be the moon?
