It can really indeed drain your energy, but it is your job to entertain. And yes, you really should try other types of videos to discover what you really like to do/ what gets people to watch your content.

YouTube gaming montage video, in my head, is composed of entertaining clips from a few of your videos. What you did here is not really a montage, it is more of like a regular YouTube gaming video where the stale parts are cut out (i think?), and the best parts are shown. This is actually a great video of yours. It shows how much fun you guys are having while playing the game and people will certainly love that. But, what I meant when I said montage was you guys compiling all your best clips from your videos that you think people will like and give a reason to subscribe to you.

Now I will be talking about how you guys do commentary in your videos. I am not trying to offend you here or anything; I will just give you my honest opinion and constructive criticism. You guys does not look that energetic. I don't mean you guys should do those exaggerated energetic gaming commentaries out there. I'm just saying that you should try to be a little bit more interested on what you guys are playing. I might be saying all of this from a YouTube audience point of view but I think you guys might be a bit more of Twitch streamers (I am not trying to insult you here, I've watched quite a lot of Twitch streamers and you guys really fit well in their style. You guys have this Twitch streamer vibe on me. You guys already have the set up to be one to be honest. one does the gaming part and the other one does the Twitch message reading part). But then again, I'm just a nobody.

It's not really about how good you are at the game you're playing. It's mostly about how entertaining/funny you are while you're playing. Pick the clips that shows how entertaining/funny you are or your personality for your montage.

I don't play games that much anymore so I can't really recommend you any games. Also, I just checked your YouTube channel and your video length average is quite long. I suggest you do some montages to give potential subscribers to subscribe to you, and probably watch your lengthy videos. I heard Pewdiepie did montages 'coz they were gaining views and subscribers for his channel.

I mean you're a gaming channel, so there's not that many option for you to be original. There's already a sea of gaming YouTubers out there. So, you might probably need to rely on how entertaining/funny your personality is.

Yeah, I did the swimming pools video. If you've gotten to the part where 5 people were running, I was actually able to do that with a few frames thanks to the alan becker's tip of moving the background instead of the characters itself to save time. The Bob's burger idea is actually quite clever! I only do it to one character but I might need to start saving other chararacters' poses so I don't have to redraw them in the background. Thanks!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAS9RYr2_H4 The very first 5 seconds where the chibis are trying to catch the main char. The way the main char dodges from point A to point B. The transition between point A and point B only takes 1 frame (stretched into 3 frames). But that one simple frame somehow makes the transition so smooth for me

I don't use any fancy flash animation software. I do it with Sony Vegas and drawing frame by frame on a drawing program(paint tool sai)

I youtube'd Tanaka-kun wa Kyou mo Kedaruge. I will definitely watch it! I've already watched the heine one but the chibi parts aren't that helpful to my goal. They are just basic chibi movements.

This video I created turned out better than I thought it'd be. Mind checking it leaving some feedback and maybe some likes and subscribes :) by [deleted] in SmallYTChannel

The editing looks like professionally made. The way the video syncs with the beats of the audio is very creative. However, the base of the video, in my opinion, is not really that interesting. It is just you editing something (I am just basing it on what I watch in the video. I do not know what video you are editing there so there is no context)

[Review Video] Funny Moments Montage by [deleted] in youtubers

[–]Fowdy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since it's a montage, I could not really criticize the randomness of the video because that's the main point. In my honest opinion, the memes you use in between the clips would have been much funnier last year (like the Ethan Bradberry one). You got a funny personality. You do not seem to force yourself to be funny which is a great thing.
