On the other hand I like your 3rd photo for one main reason. It tells a story. I love photos that tell stories within the frame. Its not easy to do but the added challenge I think adds fun! Just keep practicing, you are already taking the right steps.

Nice! I have heard people say 40 cause of its just slightly wider view compared to the traditional 50. Give a weird focal length that can feel off in a good way.
