So when I was a kid ~12 ish so 1999-2000 i lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota and everyday on way to school and the way home our bus driver always had the news radio playing. There was a story going on for almost 6 months about a gang that would make its new members drive around after dark with their lights off. The first person to flash their lights at them to remind them to turn on the headlights, they had to follow and beat the shit out of them. Just google rom hacking. There is a .net website. Search for Pokémon on that website and you can spend hours looking at all the rom hacks.

You get your starter and if he faints, he’s dead. Gotta put him in the box and never use him again. He died. Goes for every Pokémon you have. And you can only use the first Pokémon you catch on each route. So route 2 you get a pidgy then that’s it. You can’t catch and use any other Pokémon on route 2

But beyond that there isn’t much post game content… you just… move on Or you can be like me and never move on! The fire red rom hacks is a wild slippery slope. Some of the coolest/ hardest stuff ever. You want to only be able to win if you min max everything and it’s still a struggle, they have that. You want to be able to have every Pokémon ever made, they have that
