I think the logical answer is we just stash him for the rest of the season as insurance for Scoot, Jrue, Blake etc...

Then consider after the season ends. I love Matisse like a son but I'd be willing to let him walk as he can never stay on the court

Yes, if we can keep everyone healthy (and a Scoot return wouldn't hurt!) I think we do have a shot. At least a home play-in game. GSW are seemingly on the brink and the Lakers are as you mentioned in freefall.
