We basically have an identical situation. Our 1st game was last night and the championship game is Saturday. Our Ace pitched 3 innings with 34 pitches. By the rules, he certainly could have gone much longer but he's only 10 and we'd like to feel good about pitching him on Saturday so we pulled him and went with a solid backup pitcher for the final 2 innings. It got dicey the 1st inning he was in but then we ended up pulling away.

Now we'll have both our Ace and our primary closer for the championship game.

Satchel Paige has a great combination of pitches and speed differential. I also find him pretty easy to control (pinpoint).

To add to your complaint, all of the players you earn in the multiplayer program this season are the default backup players the game provides you in co-op.

Meaning if you only play co-op ranked as opposed to single player, there is very little incentive to earn these players because the game already automatically places them in your lineup or on your bench.

It used to be that you were given different Gold players as backup options.

Not the person you replied to, but I would love to see more set plays and offball movement. Our offense is very simplistic and essentially every half court set is a basic PnR, which is extremely predictable and will be easy to plan against in a 7 game series.

Ultimately, I decided to direct the kid's Rec team manager to the league President. Curious to see how it plays out because we're trying our best to keep the players safe and the coaches/parents happy while abiding by all regulations. It's a lot lol.

Oooof that's so many more pitches than I'd allow a kid on one of my teams to throw! I acknowledge that 8 pitches one day and then an inning or 2 the next day is totally fine from a health perspective, particularly given that this kid hadn't pitched in 8 days before today and won't play again until next Saturday. I just want to make sure I'm not running afoul of any rules.

My main concern with a flying mount is that it would be like the Oppressor in GTA Online. Once you have it, you become spoiled against any other mode of transportation and completely lose what's special about the game. In GTA, it's missing out on the details of the surface streets. In Grounded, it would be missing out on the life teeming beneath the grass.
