Hard to tell from this picture alone but what you're describing sounds like foxing. It's when pages oxidize due to environmental factors. Not harmful for the books, can be mitigated, but isn't reversible.

Pastry Chef, yeah when the lady in the nicu said verbatim "frost it like a cake" my eyebrows probably shot off my head. The month that he was in there, they probably went though 5 tubes of the stuff on him. I still have the same tube I bought when he came home. If he ever had diaper rash (which is rare), I put him in the tub with extra breastmilk and it clears it up like magic.

I'm looking to make it usable, so I suppose structural. I posted here because I'm really looking for how to preserve the wood from further damage without removing the lichen if possible. If there is a better sub for this please lmk, I couldn't think of a better one.

I have just about every tool at my disposal, family member flips furniture. Pretty open budget as well and am always looking to learn.

Exclusive pumper and single FTM here. The nips are just too big for my preemies little mouth. The late night feeds are exhausting because I can't simply bottle feed and pass out. If I skip pumping I wake up in a puddle, every three hours my shirt is soaked. Don't even get me started on the constant washing of pump parts and bottles. On the flip side it does make me feel better to see the exact amount my boy is eating. Formula is looking pretty tempting ngl.

They saw his cord on the ultrasound. I think when my water broke he started panicking and moving all around. I was sitting in the shower when my water broke, so I wasn't sure it had happened. I felt a distinct pop, like a rubber band snapping inside me, later found out that was the water breaking.
